Just read on nfl.com that the skins made it official, RG3 has been released. I wonder where he will end up? I could see him in **** stain brown and orange. Guess we will see.

Will the Steelers entertain him as a backup? Not endorsing him but if he is cheap, they may look at him.

lol...yeah. rg3 as a steeler. that's right.
let me know how that works out

HELL NO! Nothing more to say.

I can't believe it took until the 5th post to say it...........

He'd look good in black & gold, wasn't used properly in DC, would probably sign for cheap.......

Yinz need to get your **** together.

Rams, Texans or Cowboys

I didn't say I was advocating for RGIII. I even specifically stated that. So, calm the **** down.

With that said, I can see the Steelers kicking the tires. Why not? They signed Vick last year. They have very little in the way of a capable backup. If RGIII is willing to be a backup, he is better than what we currently have. I'd actually be shocked if they didn't at least talk to the guy.

I dont think he wants to be a back up. I'm pretty sure if he gets the chance to start with any team, even the **** stains and it's already on nfl.com that hue Jackson is definitely interested, he's going to go. No chance he comes here to hold a clip board.

Last I heard 12 teams were seriously interested in him... Im guessing there will be a quiet bidding war and the top dollar wins

If RG3 has any sense he will not just go to the highest bidder. He made his millions with the skins now look for a long term future for another big pay day later on. If I was him I'd entertain the Cowboys, Saints, and Broncos if he's willing to sit until he gets a shot. For an immediate shot I would say Texans and 49ers would be his best bet at doing well. Vick looked good under Kelly and RG3 would fit that system well. BOB from Houston made Hackenberg look like the next Elway at Penn State and there's not a lot in front of him there. Broncos could be a nice home but if (when) they sign Osweiler he will have some competition that might be hard to beat out at least right off the bat. Cowboys and Saints both will need a new QB soon and if RG3 could learn the offense he'd at the minimum get a shot.

Steelers. Nope I see us drafting a guy in the 7th to compete with Jones for the backup spot.

7th rd will be too late to get a decent backup, they should gamble on Cordele from Oh State if he is still there in the 4th.

I feel there's too many needs for a QB that early and we don't have a lot of ammo in this draft. We have 2 7th round picks and the guys they have been interviewing aren't top tier guys they are guys who very well could be available later in the draft.

You are probably right, i think they will bring back Gradkowski to be the number two.

Wtf would be want to come backup 7 for?

I feel like he's a Jet waiting to happen.

Maybe RG3 can start his own line of fancy socks...

Mike Shanahan ruined that kid's career when he sent him back into the game with a bum knee. He should get Erin Andrews' lawyer and sue Shanahan and the 'skins...

BTW, Ryan Fitzpatrick expected to be a free agent soon. He might get a stop-ga starting job, but would be a perfect #2.

There was a really damning article about RG3 on the MMQB site - really detailed why he hadn't made it:

http://mmqb.si.com/mmqb/2016/03/02/colin-kaepernick-robert-griffin-rg3-trade-future

Adding to Griffin’s physical lack of pocket subtlety and nuance is his limited comprehension of how routes relate to certain coverages. Time and again in 2014, Griffin failed to identify some of football’s most basic route combinations. There were even cases of his defined reads—that is, plays that present just one obvious place for the ball to go—being ignored. Head coach Jay Gruden or offensive coordinator Sean McVay would call a pass and have no idea whether it would be executed correctly. Worse, neither would the receivers. How can you coach a dangerous but frankly emotionally unpredictable guy like DeSean Jackson if he’s getting open but not seeing the ball?

Pretty grim.

I still can't believe the Redskins gave so much up to draft this guy. There will be teams lined up to have him compete for the starting job and it'll be interesting to see if a fresh start helps him.

Gimmick QBs are always gimmicky.
