Sit the 12 million dollar man. The bears backup pretty much doubled Leave'It's yardage today.

Sit Bell............ hmmmmmmmmm

perhaps spell him until we see that production spike

howboudah?

Maybe it's just me, does he not have near the same burst of quickness that he had a year ago?
Looking at his workout videos in the offseason, he clearly gained a little weight.
That being said, I think we say goodbye to him after this season IMO.

little early for bye byes IMO

You can't just up and sit him (bell) but you can spell him a little more. Bring Conner in and give him about 6-12 touches a game. See what you've got and put a little URGANCY into bell. Remeber a team shouldn't be peaking just yet but definately should be winning these kind of games.

I don't get why Conner isn't getting a few carries, just like I don't understand why 92 is not seeing the field. makes no sense to me.

Offense is supposed to carry the team and has been poor. Our Oline has not been great and bell needs a special line. Also i think defenses are figuring him out and being more patient. I definitely think connor should be given more touches. Everything is not bells fault, but he is not doing much to help

I hope they don't break the bank to keep him, but they have to get something for him if he leaves.

I hear yaz. I've been advocating for Conner to get some touches along with the other RB Watson. Both showed power and such. As for 92, this is the exact game you needed him in on. He can set an edge and both our other LBs had trouble with that today. This BS of saving him for later in the season is just that, BS. NO you don't have to play him (92) every down but you do need to play him some. TODAY especially !

His burst after hitting the hole is missing. I've noticed too.
Still too early to say how he'll pan out as the season progresses

Agreed it would be smart to get Conner more carries. We can't just "bench" Bell. He's still one of our top weapons. But Conner runs with an aggression and energy that Bell lacks, that we sometimes need. It would be a great shot in the arm on some possessions. Not to mention, it might help light a fire under our "franchise RB" to see another guy have success in the offense. People are learning how to defend the "patient, wait for the hole" stuff

I literally just told my dad this. Go back and look at the games. I dont remember one gaping hole this year..not one.

Bell just looks slow. I'm not sure he has a single play of 20+ yards through three games.

That explosion out of cuts that made him special just isn't there.

He's still young, but he's had a lot of injuries. Perhaps they've taken their toll.

I think he just held out so long it got him off his game.

I do wonder how long it will take to return to form though.

I don't think his groin is healed. I remember in 2001 when Bettis was leading the league in rushing an having an MVP type season an hurt his groin. never was the same after that, what speed he had was even less after it. Bell just seems to have hitch in his stride.

not buying what you are selling

I think he is rusty and the O-line is rusty and banged up.

Wait a minute, I thought you said it was all Mike Tomlin's fault? You're in every other thread saying it.

Make up your mind.

Coach's decision, gut feeling.

His plan was to "unleash Bell", and we know how that usually goes....

Can you trade a player you have put a franchise tag on? Just wondering. Get something for him while there's something to get.

Yes, but no team will take him without a "sign and trade" deal. So you'd have to get him to not only agree to be traded, but agree to that team's contract terms.

That is a tough sell.

Bell was supposed to be a "generational back" who doesn't need the offensive line to open up gaping holes for him. Remember? Now he looks alot like Eric Pegram.

I don't think Pegram got 12.1 million a season.

He's certainly ineffective enough to justify giving Connor 10-12 carries a game to see if its the line or the back....
