The title says it all. The Pittsburgh Steelers are interested in JJ Watt. Seriously, who wouldn’t be? I can envision JJ coming to Pittsburgh...and both JJ and TJ playing their brains out for each other, terrorizing opposing offenses.

One can only hope the Steelers come through and make him an acceptable offer.
 
He said he wants to go somewhere that he can win a SB. Are we the best option among the teams interested in him? I don't think so. Would be awesome though.
 
If the Steelers are smart they will send a plane to go get him.

Tyson Alualu is a free agent. I offer Watt his position. You can scheme him some significant playing time. As far as the SB he would know the Steelers are a yearly winner. That can't be disputed. I sell him they are going to go all in on a SB try. That could be enough to lure him in. It isn't like we are selling this board on reaching that goal obviously that would be a bigger task. Those players buy into there being a chance, regardless if that is a true reality is another debate.

Back up? he could start or be a part of a soled DL rotation as was pointed out to you, Alualu is a free agent and could leave

as I said earlier, Cam could slide to the NT and JJ could line up either next to TJ or on the other side and help free up Highsmith

and have a chance to win a ring

oh there is always a chance....find a way to fix the OL...hell make them average and the offense would be waaaaayyyyyy better combined with a tough defense....you got a shot

Watt hasnt played over 8 games the last 3 years and you want to move Cam inside to NT. LOL, no way Cam takes that move.

Why not keep Alualu and have a nice rotation to keep everyone fresh. They'll all be ready to go come the end of the season then.
I think lack of depth has been a huge problem with the DL. Cam and Tuitt are playing way too many snaps and then they get to December and they're wiped out.

Hey internet GMs....not only do the Steelers not have the cap to entertain JJ but it's not a position of need for the team.

JJ started 16 games in 2018 and 2020 he did only play 8 games in 2019

A. Niether Cam, Tuitt nor JJ can play NT as well as Alualu....
If you bring him in its as a rotation guy... and we definitely need depth there... all three of tge DEs in that scenario have had injury issues in the past, so its insurance in case one goes down ... he could also be used in limited lb roles to spell whomever starts at olb across from tj

But you sure as hell better fix the Oline and Te and RB positions first...

Not as stupid as you suggesting Cam move to NT. He has not played more than 8 games in THREE of the last five years, fixed it for you. Two of those years he played 3 and 5 games . He has missed 40% of his games the last 5 years, sad but true.

no, one of the issues was not being able to read a stat sheet and the other is thinking a quality player is flexible enough to play multiple positions....and Cam could play NT and play it well

It is not like the Steelers line up in a true 3-4 the whole game. Hell if they can get JJ and keep Alualu then they could go 4 DL and really shut down running games...
