He should have it done anyway. They say you come back better, stronger than before....

Surgery is not a slam dunk. There are very real risks with any surgery such as infection and with TJ there are some real risks of local nerve damage. This is direct from the surgical team that handled my son, the PT, and from direct experience with nerve issues post TJ. My son's ulnar nerve was inflamed and "active" for almost 2 years post TJ. He was lucky that no long term damage occurred. I have also seen a TJ patient who lost movement in ring and pinky finger due to damage to the ulnar nerve which is moved along with the muscle during surgery.

The reason some come back "Stronger" isn't because of the surgery, but because of the post surgical Physical Therapy that is designed specifically to strengthen the muscles around the join and the entire arm to help protect the joint. In short, you want to be stronger then lift the weights, not have unnecessary surgery.

Well that is "gooder" news for sure. Any surgery is a risk and this one is of the high end type risk. Wether he comes back or not he is still one, if not the BEST STEELRS player of all time.

Salute the nation

Probably had the mynah bird treatment.

Great! I'm glad Ben's surgery went well.. but he's going to be in the film room with Rudolph tomorrow morning studying film, right? The guy had his surgery, time to get back to the team.

I've had an appointment with Dr. ElAttrache myself. He's one of the best of the best. Ben should be ready to roll next year.

"Whether he comes back or not?"

Ben is making $80M over the next three years, $67.5 guaranteed, $45M this year, $21M next year and $19M in 2021

Of course he will be back in the building
