Inside linebacker Robert Spillane has been tendered by the Pittsburgh Steelers for a one year deal, which he intends to sign:

The Steelers have tendered RFA Robert Spillane and he plans to sign, per league source. Spillane (aka Mick) was crucial depth last season and the Steelers were really impressed with his toughness. Had a pick-six, 2 sacks, 3 QBH and 45 combined tackles.

Spillane, an exclusive rights free agent, filled in admirably for Devin Bush last year as the starting inside linebacker. He adds much needed depth to the line backer group. We look forward to his contributions this upcoming season, and having him back with the team

Great to hear I would look in the mid rounds at mcgeone or bama Moses as Vince replacements long term mcgrone did play with bush and has sideline to sideline range

Good to hear. I like Mickey Spillane I mean Robert. Thought he showed well when they called on him.

Bince,............ I hear your number being called................ and it's a "CAP" hit reduction.

Glad for Spillane, a true American Hero
