I'm sorry, but I don't see how Goodell himself has earned a dime for the league. Let's be honest, a mentally challenged monkey could be commissioner, and the NFL would make money hand over fist. The only thing you have to do is not F things up, which is what Goodell is doing.

Because the ******* owners don't give a flying **** about football, they care about $$. From an owners perspective Goodell is doing exactly what they want, increasing the value of the product. Until owners start to see declining revenue nothing is going to change with the commish.

Ticket sales down, television viewership down, sponsorship down. It’s the trifecta of revenue loss. I believe revenue will be down in 2017 and perhaps the cap decreases instead of increases for 2018. If that happens Goodell is gone when his contract is up.

An interesting thing about all of this is that fans are getting turned off from the game with the off-field antics, political talk, lack of actual game coverage, concussions, etc. The media, while doing their jobs to an extent, are force feeding the hardcore fans a bunch of coverage that they don't want to hear, especially with all of the political BS. You hear more about what a guy is wearing on his shoes or some controversy that no one cares about rather than true game analysis. These writers and football media are basically taking themselves out of the job as the demand for football coverage decreases with the lost interest. It's a part of the equation that is rarely discussed with the NFL's issues right now.

I'm not a God-del fan since the fines started days BUT he was hired to clean up the league and look how many times he has been held up by owners, players union and courts. The few arrogant owners show themselves when things don't go their way so now all the controversy. Till the demonstrations started the NFL was a money making machine under God-del. The owners and coaches had the chance to change whatever the latest demonstration by the players on their teams but all the blame goes to God-del. Fans have got fed up with all the extra BS of the league which some goes to all the media and their wanting to one up another media base. So now with ratings down and sponsors voicing their displeasure as well as fans the loud mouth owners want God-del's head. Gödel have the type personality that he figures piss on them I'm pushing for all kinds of crap. Just more drama is what the NFL has become and the game well who cares.

I'll do it for 25 million a year and a pack of big red gum. The gum in not negotiable. My first actions. Approve use of medical marijuana and testosterone replacement therapy for those over 35. We stand for the anthem here. It's part of your job. If You don't like it go play arena football or in the cfl. We will bring hitting back within reason, mandate more body protection scientifically proven and cut down on our rule book. The officials will no longer be a major influence in outcomes. Goodell seems to have an unbelievable ego and smugness. However the owners are the ones employing him, and now they are telling jerry jones to cool it or they will force jerry out. If his contract gets renewed and football keeps going downhill it is the owners to blame not Goodell.
