Miss that rivalry too. I'm a WVU fan and wish they'd find a way to get into the ACC. I can't get amped up for the Big 12 football matchups.

I feel bad for WVU fans that the closest road trip is Iowa State. I travel all over for Pitt games being in the ACC is nice. This year I'm going to Penn State, Virginia Tech, and Syracuse.
That said, no offense but I don't think WVU can get in the ACC due to academics.

I use to home brew and have had a few award winning brews. I use to make a brew call Blitzburgh and then the number (in accordance with batch number). I got to Blitzburgh 48, then moved on to something else. That did get me and my buddies through the 90's though. I did brew many other batches of beer but that particular was very high alcohol (7.6% ish). Loved that era of PITTSBURGH football !!!!!!!!!!!

You are probably right about the academics but I think it's more about some bad blood and politics between WVU and the core/old guard of the ACC. I can't imagine some of the newer members of the ACC outshine WVU in the classroom by too much, if at all.
Things change so hopefully they'll be playing teams in the NE and Atlantic coast again at some point.
