Outstanding article. I watched Sid in the first game, and I said to the wife "Sid is having a blast out there, imagine having to go back to Pittsburgh, with THAT team, it's gotta be depressing"

There is speculation that he and his agent are trying to get him traded out of Pittsburgh. Sid is denying it, but his agent keeps talking about it, how Sid deserves to be in the playoffs and how he deserves another shot at a Cup, which I don’t completely disagree with.

I’d hate to see him go, but if that’s what you want, just say it. I think as mad as some people might get, they’d respect it more. Pretty sure his linemates are getting traded anyway, so might as well get the hard part over with and start the rebuild in earnest.

FSG is apparently only looking for minority owners but have said that the sale price is $1.75 billion. Mario and Burkle offered less than full price, but now seem willing to pay full price. There’s some dude named Hoffman that is willing to pay full price also, with zero ties to Pittsburgh, so this could get interesting.
