Really NFL?

At least in college, you can review bad hits. Without the ability to do that in the NFL, the refs will control the outcome of games.

BINGO and by refs you mean their boss and by boss you mean "big money". The rule doing exactly what the rule is intended to do.

Salute the nation

I believe I have heard there have been 32 PF called so far this preseason. I think they're calling it so tight to get players ready for a new rule. I can't think the NFL, which is about $$$$, would water down their product this much going into the season. It already is at the point where after EVERY big play on O/D, I wait to cheer for fear of a flag. If the NFL DOES insist it be called this tight, defense will be a thing of the past, and I guess that may favor the offensive heavy Steelers.

It's definitely about money but that's what is so perplexing. They are losing fans with their rule changes. I just don't get why they don't see this. The numbers don't lie. Super successful business owners making plenty of smart business decisions over their lives and now that they own an NFL team it's like they've become mentally retarded. Wake up you dumb ******* owners......you are losing ratings because you are making this flag ******* football you ******* stupid cocksuckers. **** you **** you **** you!!!! Lol

The nfl was only a matter of time before it got too big.
That's what we're seeing. It happens. Some good things last longer than others, but it's bound to happen

I want to say part of it is they have joined in with other companies who "get woke, go broke", but that's for the politics forum. When the CTS story hit and this became a big deal the NFL should have simply installed a medical retirement fund for those who had dealt with severe injuries before hand, and then simply announced that every NFL player from this day forward must sign a waiver acknowledging the dangers of football and that the NFL is not responsible for any injuries suffered during their professional career. Done, it'd still be football

On a lighter side. there's a story coming out of Philly that I hope is true. The link is vague to say the keast but I wasn't expecting massive media coverage to begin with.

COPS TAKE A KNEE THEN WALK OUT ON REDSKINS LEAVING THEM STRANDED IN THEIR LOCKER ROOM OVERNIGHT

The Washington Redskins allowed 11 of their players to take a knee for the National Anthem Monday night, enraging fans and local law enforcement in Philadelphia. After the game, the 14 officers assigned to seeing the team safely to their bus decided to show them the same respect they’re showing our veterans.

The men lined up in front of the door, took a knee, put a fist in the air and shouted “Blue Lives Matter!” Then the captain informed them that they were “on their own” and the corp walked out. With nobody to make sure they weren’t mauled by angry fans, they ‘Skins decided to hunker down for the night and have a little slumber party right in their locker room instead.

Because they had no other choice. Their buses sitting right outside and a long ride ahead of them, it wasn’t until after 5 AM when tailgating closes at the stadium that the team was safe enough to start their long-haul back to DC.

The Philadelphia Police Department released a statement that those officers are on the stadium payroll during games and therefore not subject to disciplinary action. Stadium officials say the matter will be handled internally. In other words, good job, fellas. Show those entitled brats how things really work.
