WOW. I really hope the injury isn't as bad as it looked.. Here's hoping for a speedy recovery for the kid.

First play too. As a UGA fan this sucks. The dawgs always seem cursed for some reason :(

That's one of the ugliest injuries I've seen in a really long time. Hope the kid gets well soon and those Docs can rebuild him like Steve Austin (not the wrestler )

it was ******* gross. hope he recovers quickly and is 100%

Have not seen it and now don't want to see it. Please share in WORDS...was it a clean hit or did his leg get caught up?

I heard they said it might be a broken leg along with other things..

OMG that made me sick to my stomach. Poor kid. Hope he recovers.

It was just the way he planted his leg. He was trying to get away from a defender, planted it, rolled, and it bent backwards.

Imagine your knee as a hinge

now imagine your hinge busted with your leg folded back on top of itself

I don't want to see it, but I have been wondering how Tennessee managed to win.

Sorry to hear about this injury. Here's to wishing the young man a full and speedy recovery!

because Georgia is overrated

I'm gonna have to agree. However UGA had some missed opportunities. I'll say this again. UGA has no QB to run the offense. Losing Chubb is going to hurt the Dawgs more than ever

Losing your top running back on the first play probably doesn't help.

Agreed. Michele is not a feature back and Marshall has confidence issues coming off a knee injury himself

Yeah, Tape thinks all of the SEC is overrated...but that's nothing new. Georgia may have been overrated to start the season, but Florida was certainly not and isn't now. Tennessee was thought to be an SEC East contender...and they might still be...they only have one loss in the conference. Kentucky is better than usual (which is not saying a lot), but hey, baby steps, right?

Ohio State is overrated right now, they certainly aren't the best team in the country...and Michigan is probably better than both the Buckeyes and the Spartans. USC was overrated, but maybe just because their coach is an alcoholic. Utah has climbed that ladder quite nicely.

I think we'll find out a lot more this weekend...

As for Chubb...damn I hate seeing that happen to a kid. Hope he's able to recover quickly. Florida MLB Antonio Morrison tore up his knee in the bowl game and was ready for the start of the season...Here's hoping Chubb is able to do the same.

The MSU/Michigan game should be fun to watch.

Georgia running back Nick Chubb suffered a significant injury to his left knee in Saturday's game against Tennessee, including damage to multiple ligaments and cartilage but not the ACL, the school announced Sunday.

Chubb remains hospitalized for observation. He is expected to undergo surgery within the next two weeks, and the Bulldogs said a full recovery is expected.

Coach Mark Richt said "it's pretty safe to say" Chubb will miss the rest of the season. "All rehab is tough, but the best news is that there was no damage to a nerve or anything vascular, like an artery"

I don't think all SEC teams are overrated, just most of them.

Preseason
3 Alabama
6 Auburn
9 Georgia
14 LSU
17 Ole Miss
18 Arkansas
24 Missouri
25 Tennessee

These awesome teams have 15 losses between them. Only 3 of them are still ranked. So yes, most of the SEC was demonstrably overrated. Particularly Auburn and Georgia who were ranked high on name only.

I don't know how good LSU is yet because they haven't played anybody. They haven't played anybody who required LSU to pass and i don't think their QB is very good. I think they lose to Alabama and Arkansas and Tex A&M.

Florida is tough to figure now that their QB is gone.

How can anybody say Ohio State is overrated? They won the title last year and they return nearly everybody. They aren't playing great because they are pretty much experimenting on offense, trying to find a balance with Jones, Barrett and Miller in the offense.

Sure Ohio State is almost certain to lose to Penn State this week, but they will have time to rebuild and make the playoffs.

I don't know what will happen in the Michigan vs MSU game. Harbaugh has them playing good fundamentals but i don't believe in their QB. He was awful against Utah. Michigan State's defense is not as good as normal. They are more of an offensive team. Conner Cook is a good QB but he makes mistakes.

It's interesting to see you mixing and matching terms to describe teams. OSU isn't overrated because they are "experimenting". But LSU hasn't played anybody? WTF... who has OSU played? But it's ok because they are "experimenting".
