Ravens week...

Steelers used Bud to spy Henry last week. Might do it again this week. Bud does have the quickness to stay with Lamar.

Also the Steelers have been shutting down TEs, including Jannu last week who was PFF's top rated TE. held to 1 catch. That's the game plan. Key on Andrews and pen LJ in.

but, but but, Coryea says Bud had zero impact and zero tackles last weekend.

Shut down Mark Andrews, and Lamar Jackson becomes an below average passing quarterbac

Shut down Mark Andrews, and Lamar Jackson becomes a below average passing quarterback.

In the game the Ravens lost, Andrew was targeted 8 times with 3 catches for 22 yards.

In his last 4 games Jackson has been sub-par, with passing for 97, 193, 180, and 186 total yards with a sup par completion percentage of 56.3%.

Jackson's yards per passing attempt have also taken a nosedive in the last 4 games. His sacks per game is up, and he's not running it as well as he did in 2019 too. Could it be the NFL has figured him out? I'm leaning towards yes, and as soon as he gets hurt when running it, he'll never be as good as he was.

I hope Butler and Tomlin call tighter coverage and work to limited Jackson by either chipping Andrews at the line, or assigning Fitz on him for the entire game.

Keep Lamar in the pocket. TJ and Bud hit him/sack him HARD. Nothing illegal, just make sure he feels it. When he breaks containment, Spillane, Minkah and others hit him just as hard .... make him not want to run.

Minkah or Edmunds match up with their TE .... take away his target or at least don't let him run free like we are prone to doing.

If it were up to me...

My base D this week is Cover-3 with a QB spy (on every snap). I also think we can mix in a lot of man-to-man bracketing Andrews again a QB spy is necessary.

I almost agree.
Stack the box, a spy on Jackson EVERY down, and force Jackson to beat us with his arm.
I agree our zones and zone blitzing will confuse him.
We just got to remember to keep the foot on the gas and stop this mid 90s throwback to just holding on to the leads and running the clock out.
We have the O. We have the QB. We have the playmakers.
NO MERCY.

You bracket Andrews and put Nelson on single coverage with Hollywood, keeping Minkah deep. I'd think we play a nickle defense a lot more this week, considering Ingram is not a big guy like Henry. He's a quicker RB, but not the quickest we'll face. Our DL and OLBs can contain their running game, IMO.

Thus, we take away Andrews and Brown, forcing Lamar to find Snead or Boykin while being spied on. Gilbert/Sutton/Hilton should see an awful lot of playing time this week.

wow - just looked at their depth chart and Snead is listed as their #1 WR.

SO............ You're saying SPILLANE will have to pull up, just so he ONLY hits Lamar Hard and NOT EARTHQUAKE hard.

Salute the nation

4300 fans allowed at the game.

Ravens are done, the spirit of #43 will take over the stadium. There will be a game changing pick by our Defense to the house. I'm thinking Minkah
