Ravens Game

are they pricks there? I've never been to a Steelers Ravens game there?
Seems with their season in the tank they would be a little humbled.

Is there usually a large Steelers contingency there?

I live across the Chesapeake Bay about 2 hours southeast of Baltimore, and I get the Baltimore local news feeds...
I can tell you that are very concerned about Terrible Towel waving fans taking over their stadium!
Even Harbaugh has made mention of it publically, and is urging the Raven fans to come out in mass to counteract the Steeler Nation invasion!

I

I used to live there and work for the team. I go to a lot of games there and over the years, the ravens crowd has grown larger and larger. Back in Memorial Stadium the first couple years, there were honestly more steeler fans than raven fans. It was awesome! Last year and the year before, they are lucky to have 10% there.

This year, with the Ravens being terrible, I expect a bunch of bandwagoners to jump ship. Anyone over the age of 25 is a bandwagon fan. They had another team, then decided to switch over in 2000. Trust me, there were no Ravens fans outside of the stadium when Vinnie Testaverde was the QB.

Oh, and sadly, I'll be missing the game this year. I had tickets, but we have to celebrate Christmas with my wife's family in WV. Too bad, I would have loved to see some heads explode when we drop 50 on them Sunday.

The Ravens fans in general are an insufferably prickish lot, even in victory. (My own Ravens' fan wife agrees!) Overall, the concept of good sportsmanship is lost on them. I'm generally a well behaved fan. I'll jump up with a quick golf clap in celebration of a TD or the like, but am respectful enough to not linger and sit back down right away. Naturally, they're in a great mood when they beat us. They won't hesitate to get in your face and remind you constantly. Even if you kill them with kindness through gritted teeth, "congratulations on beating us," though momentarily confused, it's immediately back to the in your face braggadocio. At least the majority of Ravens fans have long since given up on football, in wife's case, already shifting her focus on Terps basketball. The diehards that will show will be a particularly cranky lot, hoping beyond hope to sweep the series. They could finish 2-14 and as long as it's over the hated "Squealers," the season is a success. Hell even their Super Bowl offseason a couple seasons ago was as much focused on us as it was in simply enjoying the Lombardi.

Even out here as far away as I live, there is this stupid *** ravens fan. EVEn when they are getting their ***** kicked, he starts talking of the past. I mean like it MEANS something that justifies this current *** whippiong. I feel sorry for him, can't accept his team is just bad this year. I sympathize some for him as I've lived through some lean years wirth the steelers, but was never delusional as he is. I hope no one gets injured or worse yet victimized by the loco ravens fans..

Salute the nation

Written way better then I could type. Totally agree with this opinion. Yep, they are and always will be totally focused on the Steelers. Sad they rate beating us as equal to winning their superbowls. Fair warning, a good number of rat fans going to the game sunday are going primarily to start stuff outside stadium. Per call in radio shows and their internet forums.

I got mine on stub hub SF81

**** ah ravens.....

hi

I'll watch from the comfort from my seat. The beer is cheaper too

I moved here from the Burgh right before the Colts snuck out of town. Used to go to Memorial Stadium when the CFL Stallions played here. Most Ratbirds bandwagoneers don't know who the Stallions are/ were let alone know they won a Grey Cup!
Most of the Ratbirds fans are a reasonable lot. There are like everywhere else a 2% lunatic fringe element of drunken, knuckle dragging, inbred cretins that have pasty complexions and lack upper body strength. You know, morons.
I usually go to the Steeler games and party with my in-laws and friends at a tailgate party. They jokingly refer to me as "their token Steeler fan". Their tailgate bus has been featured on the local news media so in this case it's an atmosphere is respectful and cordial.
Those of you venturing to the Murder Capitol on the Chesapeake follow the basic common sense rules: Avoid confrontation, avoid loud drunks that are abrasive, the ones having fun add to the entertainment! If you want to visit the local bars (its going to be late) tone down the Black & Gold and DO NOT talk smack about a win!
First timers driving here, good luck you'll find a place to park prices usually start on game day at $20.00.
In the stadium everything is as expensive as you would expect. Don't engage in smack with Rat fans because some will try to agitate and security will throw the Black & Gold out first.
When they flexed the game I had to pass because I'll be in the Burgh visiting family. I'll watch it there with the Fam.
Enjoy the game
Go Steelers!

The NFL and NBC outfoxed themselves by dropping the Steelers-Ravens from prime time in favor of the Giants and Vikings.

With the Redskins' win, the Giants are out of the playoffs. At least the Steeler game has playoff implications.

Nice move by the league and network...

Well since the NFL ****** me on my nice comfy watch at home football game. Now I have to go and watch it at some ******* sports bar. **** you very much NFL....xoxoxo
