Ravens Game Thoughts

I hate the Harbuaghs but you can tell they are in charge of everything, good or bad, that goes on with their teams. Tomlin is just along for the ride and clueless. It is no surprise that the Rats are 5-2 against the imbecile since 2011.

This is where I get in and piss everyone off by being positive.

1.
We're close. Weaton, Bell, and Brown are a great core on offense. This team moves the ball with ease, but needs to tighten up the little things. But all three of these guys make spectacular plays on the regular.

2.
Ben had a bad night, but did y'all see the throw that got called back? Man, he's still got that magic.

3. The defense was surprisingly stout at the goal line on a couple of occasions. We are limited schematically because we have too many new players at LB to really do the complex shifting and blitzing that made our D dangerous in the past. We're also protecting an aging secondary. As a result we're too vanilla. But we really just need to bend without breaking.

4. Coach Tomlin is a good coach. I know the politics, you hate him because he's the "Affirmative Action" coach. But you fire him after the season and his phone will be ringing with HC offers before he gets to the elevator. Yes, he's drafted poorly in the past. But this draft was a good one, but McCullers and Tuitt need time to develop.

5. Our season is not nearly over. We are the Ravens' Super Bowl every year. They hate us more than any other team, and more than we hate them. They play their whole season just to play us at home. That's probably the most effort they'll put out all year.

6. This may not be our year, but we really are just a few players away at this point. We got alot younger this off season, and will again next off season. Ben has at least 5 good seasons left in him. We're closer than the final score shows.

Y'all traitorous ************* want to give up on our squad after 1-1, then fine. Do that. But you just show what yellow bellied cowards you really are. Fake *** fair weather fans.

GO ******* STEELERS!

Why is Will Johnson on the team? He's a decent player but it's pretty clear they will never use him. They'd rather run a reverse on short yardage than put in a FB.

But he is the all important position flexible according to our idiot HC.

One of the stupider posts I've read.

Not because of the optimism, but the stupidity.

There's being positive, then there's being obtuse.

REAAALL FANZ WHOOOO!!

A few players away, LMFAO, we have about 10 starters that should not be starting in the NFL, have no depth and a moron at HC, yeah we are a few players and a coach getting a lobotomy away.

I appreciate the optimism, I really do. I even agree with most of your points. But I can no longer defend Tomlin. Punting in the fourth, down by three scores? Come the **** on, man.

No, he isnt. How is it hard to see this?? And I dont really give a **** WHO might be blowing up his celly if we cut him loose, let someone else make a bad decision to give him the keys to the car, just get him the hell away from Pittsburgh

Injuries. You wanna get someone hurt on a lost cause? We didn't have it tonight. Anyone could see that. Snapping someone's knee on some hail mary play wasn't going to do our season any good. Take the "L" and get on the goddam plane. I agree with it.

We got 14 more left, and Baltimore still has to play us at our house. This **** ain't nearly over.

I'd love to see the moron try and coach the Jags, Browns or Raiders, he would make Rich Kotite look like Lombardi.

WTF? Yet he still leaves Ben and the starters in after they get the ball back, someone's knee could have easily snapped on all those plays eh ?

I agree it's not over. I remember watching us lose badly to the Colts in our 2005 championship year and thinking we were utterly ******. I'm glad I was wrong. Just like I'll be glad I'm wrong if we turn out to have a great season this year. But Tomlin REALLY lost me with that punt in the fourth, so I suppose I disagree with you fundamentally on that point.

The 2005 team was stacked, this team is a bunch of stiffs. Unfortunately our best players now were on that team, Ben, Troy, Keiesel, Heath and Taylor, says a lot about Tomlin's inability to both draft and develop young talent.

I haven't got a lot to say other than a 21 point blowout by a Division Rival is unacceptable. I have to wonder if our team is the next Dallas, doomed to years of mediocrity and irrelevance.

True enough. Hopefully this season surprises us all.

I am dead serious when I say this. I can not see this team winning more than 3 games at this point. Winning 3 games at all may be asking too much. They may be the worse team in the entire league..

I would rather be the worst team in the league than what they are -- mediocre. Mediocre doesn't get coaches fired in Pittsburgh. Mediocre doesn't get you great draft picks. Mediocre doesn't bring about the changes that are required to turn this around. Yep, I'd rather they finish 4-12 than 8-8. Call me a bad fan, but I actually don't care enough about this any more to care.

I agree. Of course I do. Im a sunshine kid. Thats better then looking like a Browns fan. And we used to go on their board and laugh at them. The sky is falling. Smh.

Two idiots I fought with about Tomlin this week and were so stupid I had to put them on ignore was SteelBuckeyes and SteelerinLebanon, can't wait to hear them make excuses and come suck the idiot Tomlin's dick.

shut the hell up franco. seriously...

Judging from the way things look now, 8-8 is nowhere in sight. I have looked at the schedule. I do not feel comfortable saying that we can defeat one team the rest of the way.

Very good points. Timmons was ******* horrible tonight. Pouncey is vastly overrated as well as the rest of the OL. Blitz them and they look like they've seen bigfoot. They are ******* useless. Especially Gilbert, whom I assume is trying to break the all time sacks given up in a season record.

I've always said that Tomlin was in over his head. I had thought he'd grow into it. Right now it doesn't look good at all. Pathetic performance tonight.

We talked all off season about Worilds. All I heard was how great he was at LOLB. Well that $10M looks well spent right now huh? He's a waste of a roster spot. ******* awful. He can't hold the point. But that's ok because he can't rush the passer either.. so he is awful on two fronts. I don't give a **** about his handful of sacks last year. He sucked last year as well except for a handful of games. **** me.

At least he is not locked in with a contract. He did us a favor by refusing that contract...He will get little interest on the FA market if this keeps up..
