Rats jumping ship?

He wasn't going to play without a new contract. Why would he risk injury to play for a month when his argument from the start was that he wasn't going to get hurt on a one year deal?
 
Well we absolutely need to draft a #1 RB now in the first 3 rounds, #1WR too...our cheap backups are one inj away from leaving our cupboard bare!

We are gutting a team of all its weapons in a league where if u cant score 30 pts in the playoffs dont even show up, brilliant!
 
This has become a constant tug of war between players, ownership and coaches with money, appreciation, respect and loyalty. It's a business, so loyalty only goes as far as you can thrown a person. I get that, but starting with Bell's contract through Munch leaving, the dysfunction is high with this organization. We laugh at the Bengals and Browns, but we are becoming them right before our eyes and it's disheartening.
 
I think we absolutely should pick Hunt up.
His situation was a BIG nothing compared to Rice, and a nothing in general.
He pushed a girl ( bad, not condoning ) and kicked her in the arse ( not like a field goal, but like a "go on, get out of here, hoodrat" ).
I honestly think it was WAY overblown by the media.
He's an incredible talent.

We took Vick post dog fighting.
That is WAY WAY worse than Hunt.

While I agree and wouldn't be against it, it's not a move I see them making. I'd love to have Hunt and his salary would be nothing for him to try to get back in the NFL.

Its worse than that, we have a playoff caliber team that can beat anyone that constantly underachieves

Like I've been saying, the Factory of Sadness Curse has been lifted from the Browns and dumped on the Steelers

When Ben retires u will be looking up at the rest of the division from the cellar for a decade

If Ben did quit tomorrow, I wouldn't panic with guys like Nick Foles available and even god forbid, Joe Flacco, needing a gig soon. The transition could be less painful to a Ben 2.0.

Nick Foles and Flacco are about in line with every QB that JMM listed. You win in spite of guys like that, not because of guys like that.
 
I don't think you'll have to wait for Ben to retire. They couldn't hold off the Ravens this year, and I'd have to assume that the Ravens will improve next year. The Browns seemed like they were close to figuring thing out, they have a lot of talent just need a better coach. The Bengals have talent but were crushed by injuries this year, so they'll be better next season. But we are getting worse, same incompetent coaching with less talent on the field. I wouldn't be surprised if the Steelers finished 3rd, or even last in the North next season.

the only difference, those QBs didn't get a ring or know what it takes to get one. With the talent on the team still, a Foles could continue the ship down a somewhat respectable path. Someone like Dobbs or Landry Jones, you are picking in the top 5.

I will just disagree, we might finish .500 with Foles or Flacco...which guarantees more mediocrity. Not so sure that given our defense that either of those 2 could even get us 6 wins.
 
Rats are the poster child of what the NFL player has become. Way to much money, way to much self importance . way to much self entitlement, time owners got together and get rid of rats and make the game as it once was.
 
The Rats (Baltimore Ravens) for those of you who don't know who the "RATS" are. They have far superior coaching than we do. We have way more talent but way less coaching / in game / adjustments etc ect......... I don't like the WINEY ***** Hairball but he sure as **** can get more outA nothing than anybody I've seen. To see our guys coached up in a way the rats coach up their guys...............well we'd be on #9.
