The very premise of the old DLB zone blitz defense was that if you can limit the other teams offense to nothing deep and shut off the run game, then tgey havevto rely on nothing but A lot of short passes and most drives will stall out or end due to mistakes... we are basically asking our O to operate in that exact same fashion ....


Randy sounds exactly like Bruce telling the press that the solution to ben getting sacked 9 times in a game wasn’t using short quick passes occasionally, but rather they just had to hit some more of the wide open deep shots...

Its just being stubborn... diversify the offense.... dont put all the pressure on the wrs to get yac...

Every stupid running play I see going east/west. I think boy this OC is ******* dumb. Guys can't run block for **** and you're not even putting in a FB. Nobody has the speed to get outside anyway. Well other than opposing linebackers shutting that **** down.Why did they even get Watt?

Give our OC the same attention and see how he calls plays and sets something up............

EDIT: Point being even though the bungles may not make plays,....... Their OC will call different advantage plays and try to make adjustments,........something Randy's DAD's son doesn't do or seem to do

I mean I could maybe stomach the offense having scored one td on their opening drive in a couple years ( helped by penalties, no less) if those botched plays set stuff up for late game... but even a lot of our set ups are meh level ****

We fake a reverse then run it later... mind boggling.. or we go deep for a token shot ir two then bury that for a couple quarters... we “ establish” the run by either crashing a guy into tge middle with no blocking or telegraph a play to the outside that loses us yards... we do that on obvious running situations a couple times then go -2 to 5 yard pass happy for the rest of the half...

I mean at this point, **** it... run this abomination the next 3 games... I don’t give a half **** about HFA this year... get to the playoffs and just bomb it the whole first half ofctge first game... they won’t ever see it coming... throw a true fullback package in the second game and if we make the afccg, run balanced... DC’s will **** bricks
