Ramon Foster announces retirement

Ramon was a team guy the whole time. Pouncey, DD, and Villa get big contracts, and he's happy to paid like a supporting player. A strong player and stronger leader in the locker room was lost today. Class act. Would rather retire than play for another team. Always Black and Gold for that man!

Great post Cope.

Hear, hear Supe and Cope.

Respect.

Thank you Ramon for all your hard work. Good luck in your post-Steelers career.

Ramon Foster, your retirement statements is one the Best, most well-written and kind statements I have ever read.

Tibs, thank you for posting it.

Makes me proud to be a Stiller fan.

I hope the Steeler organization has a spot open for RF!

Foster was a class member of the organization and a leader in the locker room. I wish him the best in retirement.

Thanks for everything you gave to this franchise, Mr. Foster! Best wishes to you and your family in your post-playing life!

I think it was that or he was getting cut. Thank you for your service to the Steeler Nation!

That + he was going to be cut + no other team wanted him as a starter.

Foster was a reliable player for years and locker room leader type. Outside of that it's not a big loss.

Definitely earned his way onto the field and deserves the high praise. Feiler to LG now?

I like Feiler at Tackle. If he plays LG, Okorafor needs to be ready at RT. The problem is Feiler easily won the Right Tackle job over Okorafor.

Finney might slide in to RG. The Steelers may be thinking C/G in rounds 2-4. If the best RB's and TE's worth the pick are off the board in round two, Center or Guard could be the pick.

"Outside of him being a solid player year-in and year-out and being a leader in the locker room, it's really no big loss."

Don't ever ask yourself why people think you're a douchebag, Coach.

Glad he went out on his own terms. He certainly deserved it. Solid stand up guy and significant if under recognized piece in a great line for many years. Best of luck Ramon!

I think they meant Donnie SHELL. Not our RB's dad... ;)
