has the league caught up with Lamar Jackson or is something else holding that offense back?

The league has more than caught up with him. They went all in on his running abilities.

Now that the inevitable ceiling has been hit, like it does with every running-first QB—his weaknesses are exposed (cannot throw outside the hashes, playing from behind) —teams are flooding the middle of the field and his always non-fluid passing motion is slowly catching up with....think fumble caused by Bud Dupree.

Is Ben getting locked in to DJ too much? Not spreading the ball around as much as he could?

I dont believe so..

I think Ben looks at it from more of a developmental opportunity for the young receiver..
