I'm going to be busy tomorrow, So I'm going to project the inactives tonight, and it should be the same inactives as the Browns game:

1. Zack Mettenberger - 3rd QB, inactive
2. DeAngelo Williams - Ruled out
3. Darrius Heyward-Bey - Ruled Out
4. Shamarko Thomas - Not practicing
5. Brian Mihalik - The O line is healthy, so Mihalik should sit again.
6. Xavier Grimble - Still not healthy enough to practice fully, and we already have 3 healthy TEs to play.
7. Dangerfield - He was the wildcard last game, but since he's still limited by injury, he will probably be given the short week off to rest up on an extended week. I expect him back for the Giant's game.

FYI, I reformatted the injury list stickied above. It should be easier to track active injuries as they are now at the top of the spreadsheet.

maybe we get to see Dupree a bit thursday

I activated myself for Thanksgiving dinner tomorrow. It was a positive note to see that a full week of preparation for the Thursday dinner extravaganza will be underway. I make no excuses and I acknowledge and accept the possibility of taking a nap sometime after the main course. We also have some pumpkin pie to deal with. It is a quality dessert and a worthy compliment to the dinner. Our hats off to the seconds and leftovers for the several coming days. My waistline will reflect upon the body of work this meal will provide.

If Timmons pukes on Thursday night, I'm blaming the turkey!

For a guy who doesn't play much, Shamarko Thomas seems like he's hurt all the time.

He plays on almost every special teams squad. Coverage teams are, you know, the part of the game the league has deemed so dangerous they are trying to eliminate.

ONCE again, I thank you Cope for your time involved in this. Does anyone know How close is D'will to returning?

Salute the nation

Post Turkey hangover, I'm feeling good about the Steelers chances. They are still relatively healthy. We will see how banged up Foster, Hargrave, and Mitchell are this week, as they all were injured during the game. Mitchell returned after a couple plays off.

The only surprise inactive this week was Daryl Richardson being inactive and Dangerfield playing. All the rest were pretty straight forward. Hopefully, with the extended time off, there will be more of our banged up players returning for the Giants game.

Dwill should be back this week. We'll wait to see on Grimble and the 3 new injuries (which fortunately appear minor) with their practice participation on Wed. Though Dwill usually sits out Wed practices, he may go this week to test the knee and check for swelling on Thu. Since Mitchell returned after only missing a play or 2, he may not even be mentioned in the press report tomorrow as injured.

I'm wondering if they're going to dress 4 TEs or is Grimble going to be the odd man out even when he's healthy. I would not be against dressing all 4 and line Green up as a WR from time to time, he could be a chain mover if nothing else.
