Predicting the Steelers Practice Squad

The new cut down day lets teams see more of their own young guys... I think its good for youngsters to make teams... that early cut down made coaches revert to knee jerk reactions before they really got good good looks from guys who might have been learning the playbook early in camp

Most of them are probably the guys I would have picked. Definitely Tucker, Hagan and Galambos anyway. Hopefully Ayers decision won't backfire on him. I figure someone will give him an opportunity.

Unless he has something going on with another team (Texans, maybe), which is possible, he made a dumb move...

Looks more and more like he made a mistake by leaving college a year early.

He needs to grow up, quickly, or he'll be playing for the Tiger-Cats (!)
 
He didn't like it when, on twitter, I questioned the wisdom of his decision. Said "Everything is under control." Then asked me to respect him and his privacy.

I could've noted that wanting privacy and being on twitter are contradictory. But what's the point?

Doesn't that give you down the road another option that has been there done that? In case of injury?
 
Yay, I was 50% right on the PS. Can't believe I forgot about Hooks. That was a no brainer.

I didn't know Touissant and Phillips were eligible.

Golson is definitely eligible, he just wasn't picked up, and I'm surprised that he wasn't.

Dumb move Ayres. I don't think anyone will roster him, and he may be out of the league because of it. Didn't Archer end up doing the same ****?
 
Hard to pick up Golson when he probably can't pass a physical right now, sad story for the guy.

Very. He actually looked decent in his limited practice time and I was really hoping to see what the guy could do when healthy this year.
 
I'm sorry, but Ayers is coming across like a little ***** here.
 
Yeah, Ayers is Dri Archering himself. Talent is there but needs more work and by rejecting the Steelers offer he might have just closed the door on his NFL future.

I hope Golson isn't so petty. Maybe he can join the PS and work himself onto the field.

Called it. He fits well there or in Baltimore. I also thought Cleveland would be interested since he torched them on the last game of the season.

The only good thing is we can add him to our roster directly from their practice squad, if we have a WR injury.

I wouldn't be shocked if they release him not long after interrogating him. Sucker.
 
My attempt at picking the practice squad was a pathetic 4 outta 10. I doubted Ayers would make it but for the wrong reasons.

Who won the final 53 contest ?
