Let's not pretend that Allar was out there with the 1's. He was playing with guys that will be sacking groceries right along with the Packers' defenders.

The defenders looked pretty good everytime Kaleb or Eli had the ball.

Even though this was a preseason game that means little when it comes to the regular season, I was encouraged to watch a game where this team put their opponent way early and not wait for heroics in the last 2 minutes of the game. Hope that translates when the games actually count.

His hands are the same size as Roethlisberger's and I always thought Ben had huge hands since he could pump fake and control the ball in snow and rain.

I think the 9.7" hand size is actually the average size of NFL QB's drafted in the first round between 2008 and 2020. (I can use Google too.)

Allar would be in the top 30% of all NFL QB's. Of the 16 QB's in the combine in 2026, two QB's had larger hands than Allar. Two.

So, yeah...top 30% is above average, like I said.

Of the 15 QB's in the 2025 combine, zero had larger hands, two (Graham Mertz and Tyler Shough) had equal size.

So in the past two combines, of the 31 QB's who participated, 2 had larger hands than Allar. 2 out of 31. That puts Allar in the top 10% of that group.

Looking over starting NFL QB's, I believe nine have larger hands (Trevor Lawrence, Michael Penix, Dak Prescott, Josh Allen, Jordan Love, Matthew Stafford Aaron Rodgers, Justin Herbert, CJ Stroud). Allar would be in the top-10 basically.

I'm not basing my opinion on any and all clowns who show up to a scouting combine. Yeah, again, top 10 out of 32 NFL starters would be the 31st percentile...above average. Jordan Love has 10.5 inch hands -- now that would classify as "huge" to any reasonable observer.

No, I am pointing out that you made an inaccurate claim (average NFL QB hand size, when that was a stat showing average size for first-round draft pickes 2008 to 2020). Not what you claimed.

Top 30% of NFL QB's is pretty far above average.

Allar looked like he had the better NFL arm than Howard, it didn’t really even seem close.

Next game should be only 1-2 series with Rudy and then Allar with the 2s imho.

I’d predict another game or two like that and the writing is on the wall for Howard, stands a good chance of losing a numbers game.

Easily. His throws look effortless and if he's able to acclimate to the speed and complexity of the NFL game, he'll be able to make throws that Rudolph and Howard can't. We'll see if Allar ever gets to that point.

Whether the Steelers feel comfortable enough to move ahead with Allar in 2027, or maybe bring in Baker, the QB will be setup for success. They'll basically be returning every RB, WR, TE, and OL in the starting lineup for 2027.
