Apparently also show interest in Noah Spence and Houston LB Elandon Roberts.

Brown and Roberts are smallish LB'ers with speed. Might be looking at them as hybrid lb/ss like Barron and Buccannon

I'm a big DJ White fan myself. I think he's very underrated.

Kind of interesting. From all reports A'Shawn should be gone 10 picks before we are on the clock. I honestly have found him unimpressive and was hoping he'd go before we pick. Though I think he's a good run stuffer I don't think he will even offer more than to take up blocks and stuff the run. I feel you can get that type of play out of McCullers so why draft a guy in the first for it.

Interesting list. It looks to me the Steelers are interested highly in the secondary considering 9 of 13 are DB's. I count Jatavis Brown as a DB because I feel he will likely play some safety even if only in certain packages.

Most of those corners are mid rounders. I hope we actually draft a good one in rd 1 or 2.

Boise S Darian Thompson, who had a big Senior Bowl, has private workouts with Eagles and Panthers. Visiting Steelers.

So at this point I'd say there's a 95% chance we go DB round 1 or 2.

i would not be happy with robinson as the pick. He's not what the steelers need. He's not a pass rusher. He's a 2 down player for the steelers. They may as well have kept McLendon or signed a 2 down NT.

If the steelers take DL in the first few rounds, he better be able to rush the passer. The best option is a guy who can play NT on run downs and also serve as a backup DE so Heyward and Tuitt can play fewer snaps and stay fresh.

what about a guy like Nkimdiche? A front of Nkimdiche, Heyward and Tuitt would be massive, strong and quick. Also interchangeable.
Go CB/DB in the 2nd and 3rd?

First stop... Pittsburgh!

If he can pull off some of that Matrix stuff, sign that bad boy up!

Absolutely. It's almost 100% at this point.
Could be CB in rd 1 and SS in rd 2.
However, I think one of those will go to DL or OLB.

Jonathen Jones is MT next Antawen Blake interest 5"9 very fast but cant play on the outside.

I think we could maybe get a safety in rd 3. How about this? Ideally I would trade down with Denver, so that they can get Lynch. We can then use their 3rd rounder for a DE/NT.

1. CB
2. OLB, maybe Calhoun?
3. Safety (Thomson/Neal/Cash)
3b. (Denver TRADE) DE/NT

I saw a mock having us take Mackensie Alexander in round one then Su'a Cravens in round two. At first I thought probably not but then again they are both needs. Usually the Steelers go pretty even with offense and defense with last year being more lopsided than most on the defensive side of the ball. I feel this year might even out slightly but it will likely be defense early then offense for depth or potential free agent losses in the next year or two. If I had to guess as long as the value is there the Steelers likely will go with CB, S, DL, OLB on defense and if they are able to pick up another pick ILB. For offense I feel WR, RB, and OL and again if they get another pick QB. Right now they only have seven picks so they likely won't be able to fill all their needs.

Cravens isn't a safety in the NFL. He will have to play MLB. Plenty of other players like OLB or Safety for us in rd 2.

we won't draft a S until round 3/4, in those rounds is the best value for this year's crop. Better get help at CB/DE/OLB in the first two rounds
