Prayers for Shazier

Tommy never really came back from that. He always heard footsteps afterwards.

I am glad to hear that, hope it's true. Might actually be able to sleep now.

So is it possible Ryan is back for Patriots??

I doubt he plays again this year. Not at a position where you put you neck and spine at risk on every tackle. I think they would play it safe. Just my opinion.

Prayers for shaz...... really have to hand to fort coming off the bench with the bungals ripping off big chunks of yards on the ground trying to protect their lead, fort and Williams really came through plugged the holes and turned the tide. Their teammate when he sees the tape will really be proud of them... this team is really showing great resilience and team play, picking each other up overcoming bad breaks... something is brewing up in the berg... next two games are going to really tell the tale but somethings starting to burn....

Steelers told Ryan Shazier has a spinal contusion and that some swelling is involved. Mike Tomlin and Kevin Colbert took a police escort to hospital.

================================

Ryan Shazier diagnosed with spinal contusion

Steelers ILB Ryan Shazier has been diagnosed with a spinal contusion and remains without a timetable for return.

The team will know more once the swelling in his spinal cord goes down, but this is believed to be good news compared to what the other diagnoses could have been for Shazier. Former Steelers QB Tommy Maddox suffered a similar injury in the early 2000s and missed just one game. According to reports, Steelers players and personnel are encouraged by Shazier's prognosis.

I couldn't sleep at all last night - not comfortably that is...

After praying, I grabbed my phone and read about the spinal contusion - THANK God!!! Football is a violent game and to see ANY PLAYER on the ground not moving is terrifying...

FO/Coach Tomlin - please don't rush him back.
