With the Steelers currently finished with practice and available to the media more details about James Harrison’s release are emerging.

For starters take a listen to Maurkice Pouncey calling out Harrison. (Check out the link)

Told ya'll whiners, the dude was whining...

"NO ONE CARES!!!"

Multiple players said James Harrison wanted out of Pittsburgh, made that clear with his actions, wasn’t happy with role.

Threw out my Harrison jersey. This is betrayal for $60k.

Marcus Gilbert didn't pull any punches either, wow.

I don't really understand why people are so mad at him for wanting to go somewhere he can actually play. Do I wish it wasn't the *Pats? Of course. But why anyone would expect him to spend his last productive year or two happily sitting on the bench is beyond me.

What did Gilbert have to say?

@MarkKaboly
Telling quote from @MarcusGilbert88 about James Harrison: "He was, at one point, a great teammate but when you look around, you say, 'was he really that great not to be there for his teammates?' I could never f*** over my teammates like that." @TheAthleticPIT

So if Marcus was fired tomorrow and offered a contract he wouldn't sign it.

No siree. Nu uh.

Was Harrison disruptive?
"A distraction? Yeah," Gilbert said. "I mean, if you don't want to be here, if you don't want to help the guys who are in front of you, like a rookie who's pretty much learning on his own, and Bud, who's a young guy, too, then there's no place for that here. We're all about winning. If you can't respect that, well, his wishes were granted. He won't tell you guys that, but those were his wishes."

Well he asked for his release and the Steelers gave it to him....but go ahead and say he got fired if you want.

Bonus check!

How much did Tomlin pay them to 'spill their guts'?

oh yeah, nothing leaves the locker room without his permission, the backlash must be pretty severe

The whole thing is disappointing. 59,000 bucks just to have a few snaps in a few games on a team that cheated you out of a shot at a few more rings. Oh well.

Now airing all the "dirty laundry" to the public just to keep Tomlin from being embarrassed.

We have become the Bengals.

You think Gilbert would stay with the team if he was riding the bench permanently while the Steelers continued to sign guys off the street and promote from their practice squad to fill spots on the line?
