Post your final 53 - let us see who gets the most right this year.

Not going to lie, but Zach Gentry on this roster is starting to bug the **** out of me. He offers nothing. I'm hoping the Steelers keep 2 TEs, use D.Watt as a TE Flex, and PS Gentry to come up. This way they can have Gray Rostered with 9 OLs and have legit backups for all positions.

What exactly has you so upset with Gentry?

I got 49/53.

McCloud over Switzer was a pleasant surprise. After switching to 5 receivers, I figured the Steelers would take the safe route with Switzer since he's been in the system. However, I'm glad they made the move to keep McCloud based on the reports we heard from camp. Also, Switzer was very limited and while McCloud hasn't done it in the regular season yet, I'm willing to see what he can do.

I did not see Hassenauer sticking just because I was set on 8 offensive lineman. Davis was another surprise just because of how raw he reportedly was coming out of college. He also isn't a top athlete so a year on the practice squad seemed like the best-case scenario. With Dupree expected to depart after the year, I assumed the team would keep an extra OLB (Skipper) for developmental purposes.

I missed 5. not bad for not seeing anything but practice reports.
surprised to see Switz and Big Dan gone. it was time, but still surprised the team finally did it.
surprised to see Davis made it - good for him. Dan wasn't going to get better; this kid can I reckon.
Keeping another C is bothersome...likely means DD may be out a while.
The CB keeper is the most interesting of all to me. Can't wait to actually see the kid play but that may not be till next pre-season.

Let us hope RayRay shows likeness to his Steeler preseason and not the trouble he has had at times holding onto the ball. Potential for the return unit to be better but if the kid fumbles it could be a short stint being the returner...

Wow...

Can’t help but think the question mark around Decastro May be The reason behind JC making the 53.
Probably expecting Wiz to slide in if he can’t go. Don’t want to be caught without a center. Maybe moves back to PS after DD heals up.

no question in my mind DD's injury is behind keeping JC. When DD is ready to go, JC will be waived and resigned to PS. Then they will promote someone from the PS...the sixth WR would be my guess. Switz may not yet be done.
