Post your dream draft

Reasoning is Playmakers needed. Murphy is one, has been one. All your BS about Murphy.....questions recovery speed, but he’s a “long strider”? You comment about he not running a cone or shuttle, yet Williams didn’t either. He also quit his position drills after one attempt, when he obviously looked terrible.

Funny Joe Haden didn’t have an exemplary 40 either.....yet here he is, a CB1.

The thread itself is idiotic. “Dream draft” but no trades and be realistic. Please.

They will try to move up in the first regardless and draft one of the Devins. If not successful there they will trade up for Burns as the next OLB. If not there I think they will go with Murphy over Baker. If no ILB in the first they will move up and grab Mack in the second. CB and WR are deep this year. I wouldn’t be surprised if they double dip OLB and WR too.

Haden was slightly taller, had longer arms and a was a press man coverage guy in the SEC. I'm thinking his body of work and games played was MUCH better. Haden had 40 games of tape in the SEC. How many game did Murphy play? Half that amount! And who did he play against?

Here's your boy:

Weaknesses

 • Lacks height, weight, speed numbers associated with outside corners
 • Has played in just 20 career games
 • Below-average footwork to adjust to receiver's release
 • Grabs and hitches to receiver to help match the pattern
 • Comes in hot and can overrun the tackle
 • Quicker than fast with questionable long speed
 • Bumpy backpedal and lacks fluidity in his transition
 • Can be stacked by big targets
 • Doesn't appear to be an explosive leaper
 • Average recovery burst when beaten from press

You might want to check the pay rate of a 6th or 7th round pick, as it cheaper per year over a UDFA. You're hopeless.

If you said rookie free agent, then you have a leg to stand on.

UDFA- Undrafted Free Agent. That is a rookie free agent Dumb ***.

As for the pay rate.... based on 2018 figures “The 4-year minimum base salaries for players in this year's draft are as follows: $465,000 (Year 1), $540,000 (Year 2), $615,000 (Year 3), $690,000 (Year 4). If eventually signed to a contract, each rookie drafted will get a 4-year deal, whereas undrafted rookies are only eligible for 3-year contracts.”

Signing bonus for a 7th rounder is ) 60k. UDFA can be paid any signing bonus but usually don’t exceed 10k unless multiple teams are asking.

If you weren’t so ignorant, you could acknowledge the complete stupidity you shine on yourself.

“My boy”....you again show your ignorance. I only listed Murphy on your “non-dream” draft because you said no trades. White 1a, Bush 1b. Is the ILB in the first I would shoot for.

It’s obvious you are plagiarizing other evaluators....and cherry picking amongst the pro/con assembly of comments.

Greedy Williams could be coined for 3/4 of those bullet points you listed.

Terrible footwork at the position. Bombed on the back pedal drill and then couldn’t follow instructions on the hips tech during that same drill during the combine. Thrives on ability rather than technique and in the pros that doesn’t work.

You criticize the tackling of Murphy, whereas Williams doesn’t tackle...AT ALL.

“Doesn’t appear”....”average recovery”......again where are your references?

Williams played in just 2 more games yet had less tackles than Murphy in his college career. 71 to 74. Murphy had the same amount of PDs in college as Williams (20) but two less games. Williams registered no sacks, FF or TDs, while Murphy has. The only meaningful stat Williams lead Murphy was INTs (8 to 7). 1 more pick with 2 more games.

So just bury your head in your make believe world, pay attention to other people’s work and let the adults talk. You may learn something. Dumb ***.

Which is why I strongly feel if Greedy is there at 20, he is there at 21. Steelers don't like corners who are suspect at tackling.

Greedy is in my top 5 do not want list. Very overrated corner.

I'd be happy top go corner id rd if Devin's are gone, but all the Pgh beat writers say we won't go corner. Each corner has a lot of warts, but Murphy is prob the best. Greedy is a puss and can't tackle, etc. I don't think they go corner if Devin's are gone. I think safety or wr in rd 1.

Or TE , two TE sets could help ease the loss of Mr. big ****.

Well, it is practically certain that White won't be there at 20. I'm coming to terms with Bush not being there at 20. With that, my dream draft has to start with a trade.

Cin is not gonna trade with us for their #11 spot, IMO, and that would be too costly. the only real trade up that makes any sense gets us to 15th, maybe as high as 14. That will take one of the 3rds and, at least a 5th. If it is the late third, it might take another pick, too.

After Bush, I think the last possible 3-down LB that can start right away is Wilson out of AL. If I can't trade up to 15 for Bush, I try to figure out how long Wilson lasts and trade back from 20 to pick him up later. I'd want a late 20's pick but I don't know what other pick I might get. If I still miss out on Wilson, at least, I have some other picks.

1 Bush -Makes the most sense- although TE TJ would be an attractive option if he was somehow there too.
2. Juan Thornhill, S, Virginia- I like the kid, a productive paymaker. -Or Love if they go CB.Or RB David Montgomery.
3a Winovich OLB- Seems like there is where he would be picked and the Steelers have their eyes on him.Or Chauncey Gardner-Johnson or Hakeem Butler, WR, Iowa State
3B.Darnell Savage, S, Maryland
4 Miles Boykin WR ND or Ohio State or Miles Sanders, RB, Penn State
5 Terry McLaurin, WR, Ohio State.

This mock is reasonable with the way the Steelers do business.

I'm not a Winovich fan, but I think they love him.
Savage is a stud, but I'm not sure he will be there.
Taking Boykin and McLaurin is great drafting IMO.

What I would expect to happen:

1. Bush ILB
2. Love CB
3a. Savage S
3b. Boykin WR
4. Mack DT
5. Hill RB

My dream draft:
* Trade down with the Colts at 26. We get their 1 and 2..they get our 1 and original 3.
1t. Chauncey Gardner Johnson Safety
2. Hakeem Butler WR
2t. Mack Wilson ILB
3t. Julian Love CB
4. Deandre Walker OLB
5. Foster Moreau TE
6. Rodney Anderson RB
6b. Best Kicker available
6c. Best Punter available
7. Don't care

I would think the best cover corner would be a guy who has only given up 1 touchdown in two years. (Baker)
We cannot keep providing PROOF and STATS to Coach. His analysis is HILARIOUS!!!
No chance to have 10 picks, 3 will be traded.

1. CB Murphy
2. ILB Wilson
3a OLB Winovich
3b WR McLaurin
4. RB Hill
5. WR Hardeman
6a DL Mack
6b OLB Hollins
6c DB Thornhill
7. ILB Hanks

Interesting - 3 picks to be traded, hmmmm...

I have seen him play too. He's tall, fast and with ball skills. A reliable tackle, but not a big hitter. He's a little raw. Did pretty well at the Senior Bowl. I like him as a deep safety with speed, and range.

When did you see him play? Did you watch the FULL GAME or HIGHLIGHTS on YouTube???

I kind of agree w/ you on Murphy though - he'd be my second choice of the top 3 DB's at 1.20.
