Porter served notice.......

It's only irrelevant because he wasn't on last year's list, which was my point. This year was supposed to be the big QB class and it was a total bust. Next year is now supposed to be the QB class and there is a chance it is no where as deep as what some are claiming.

No one mentioned him as a first-round pick last year. Next year we're looking at (there are more, but I think some are going overboard with some names being listed):
Manning
If his last name was Jones with the same performances, would Manning really be as highly touted?
Chambliss
You sure Chambliss won't sue to stay in college for 2027?

Moore wasn't even on the preseason radar last year. It was Manning, Nussmeier, Allar, Sellers, Mendoza, Beck, Klubnik, Green, and Leavitt. Moore, Simpson, and Mateer caught attention during the season, but they weren't preseason favorites as top draft picks. As we saw it play out, virtually every one of those prospects either didn't develop or regressed.
You're mistaken. Moore was indeed on the radar, in fact his preseason odds to win the Heisman were 25:1. Mendoza was 60:1.

Heisman radar or NFL radar? Because I do not recall seeing Moore as being a part of the highly touted 2026 QB class last summer.

The starting quarterback at Oregon has typically been on the NFL radar for almost 15 years now, including Mariota, Herbert, Nix, and Gabriel. Moore is no exception.

My point remains that Moore was most likely going to be a top 5 pick had he come out this April, so another year of experience for him in Eugene is only going to strengthen the potential of the 2027 quarterback class.

Usually, he just wasn't last year. He developed and for the Steelers sake, I hope he continues to progress. But everyone also thought Arch Manning was going No. 1 overall this year and Drew Allar would be a top-10 pick.

OK, bro. You've clearly convinced yourself that because you personally don't remember hearing anything about Dante Moore, despite the fact that he had top-12 Heisman odds and was the starting quarterback at one of the most recognizable programs in the country, he wasn't on the NFL's radar at all. You're usually not narrow-minded like this, but whatever. Not going to try and change your mind anymore.

Regarding Drew Allar, I'm not surprised that he didn't live up to those lofty expectations. I had a little inside info last year that he was decent, just not first round material. And I've been hearing the exact opposite about Moore thus far.

Arch Manning staying for an additional year also only strengthens the 2027 QB draft class, just like Moore does. Which, again, is the whole point.

I'm not talking Heisman odds, I'm talking preseason articles breaking down QB prospects. If you can find one cool, I'm just saying I didn't read any where Moore was listed as one of the top guys for the draft prior to the start of the season.

*sigh*

Moore was a redshirt sophomore last season, and he didn't start at Oregon as a redshirt freshman. He sat and learned. Therefore it's not surprising that there weren't a bunch of preseason articles predicting his 2026 draft status. Most redshirt sophomore quarterbacks don't declare. In fact, there have only been seven who have done so. Ever. And most of those guys (Marinovich, Maddox, Vick, Manziel, Winston, Haskins, and Lance) didn't exactly set the league on fire. However, that doesn't mean NFL scouts weren't following Moore closely (aka being on the NFL's radar), and obviously, he has commanded their attention.

Let's agree to disagree.

pay him and Keep him another year he can learn from Ramsey as he transitions to FS full time it would give us 2 solid outside corners in a very long time. maybe Haden and Nelson duo
