Pom Pom thread

There's blame to be had by BOTH players and coaches. I mean, Chandrick West had 81 career yards coming into the game. His output yesterday was what 100?? The players do have to execute better, no doubt about that. However, Tomlin's decision making as it pertains to personnel is killing me. How week in and week out you can continue to put Antwon Blake on the field is beyond me. The guy has got to be one of, if not the lowest graded corners in all of football. And the opposition is throwing at him constantly. Every time you see a big pass play, you can rest assured knowing that #41 is trailing behind him. Not only is he a god awful cover guy but he's a rotten tackler too. sure, the pick-6 against the Chargers was instrumental in picking up a victory, however it's time for him to sit down.

blake is a strong safety playing corner... he hits like a maniac, but his tackling and cover skills are lacking... we are trying to punish wrs as best we can.... though that isnt really helping. we need 2 corners to really step up

After 8 straight run plays called in the 2nd quarter we know for certain that the team is not afraid to commit to the run.

Up to that point they had a nice mix of playcalls, and afterwards they did ok too... near the middle of that stretch they did move some guys up,so going back to the middle range to short passing game may have been called for...

Honestly I'm pretty ticked off about losing to a 1-5 team. But I know that's not what this thread is for so I'll say this:

I'm happy that overall we went 2-2 without Ben. I'm happy that I think we will make the Bungles our ******* next week. I think there is no doubt in my mind we make the playoffs and if the D looks more like it did vs. Arizona and less like it did vs. KC, I think we will make nothing less than the AFC Championship game. Despite a ****** loss yesterday, I still feel very good overall about the direction of the team.

The defense just didn't have that play to change direction of game today. I'm so surprised how Jones seems to have control of the offense. A couple plays made may have been a different score, the fourth down to Williams, better throw continue drive and high throw to Wheaton drive continues. We need a streak and starting this weekend.

He will lay a pop here and there, I will give him that. And I am all for punishing receivers. But these guys are way to soft at the line and are definitely not trusting themselves to turn and run. I can't tell you how many times I seen him let his receiver get an absolutely clean release off the LOS when he's not 7-10 yards off the ball.

so we have lost to a 1-5 team and a 1-6 team but somehow I am still happy. if that isn't pom pom I don't know what is. part of it is I get to drive to work tomorrow here in Baltimore and listen to 105.7. Raven fans will be so distraught. I almost hope for traffic.

We didn't look as bad in person as it sounds like we looked on TV.

I'm guessing that's because it's a lot harder to see in person, but since this is the pom pom thread I will chalk it up to you being, hopefully, hammered.

Not really hammered, but slightly buzzed. I didn't say we looked GREAT in person, just not as bad....

Bell is fifth in the league in rushing, this while missing the first two games of the season (in which DeAngelo was second in the league).
