Our defense was above the line
Vick didn't lose this

There is literally nothing good to take from this game
 
It wasn't as bad a loss as I predicted. The defense was decent. 5 sacks. 1 INT, 1 fumble recovery. The offense did what it had to do. Vick had 0 INTs. Bell broke for some runs.

Scobee-WTF.

For once in a long time... I don't have much positive to say. Defense had some clutch plays. Archer finally had a return and it went for 30 plus. Tuitt played mostly a good game. Cockrell played great until it came to man coverage! DOH! Five sacks, good. Scobee... and Berry? Good grief! Spence had a pretty good game. We STUNK on 3rd down... two of thirteen! 4th down... 0 for 2! Coaching was a killer. Two 4th down plays in OT and we get an 0-fer? Ugh. Please hurry back, Ben!

Scobee makes a FG and this thread is different

but he didn't, and Tomlin should never be allowed near a casino, or even a $1 scratch off ticket.

even if he hit, he'd **** it up somehow.

as it is, Bell is fantastic, Dupree showed well, DeCastro had a good game...Cockrell showed fairly well....
 
The D was not just above average, it was pretty good. Kicked the **** out of flucco. Great game from Spence, Mitchell, Heyward and Tuitt, Cockrell made a couple of very good plays

Bell keeps making magic

the DE's played above the line.

Mitchell actually made an open field tackle.

DHB did ok and Mighty Mouse had a 30 yd return.

and Ben wasn't on crutches...that's a really good sign.

Why can't he kick FGs?... Because he can't kick FGs, it's two different styles and techniques.

Very good 1st half (for Vick in his first game) but he **** the bed in the 2nd half.


1st half
13 of 15, 91yds, 1TD, 30 yards rushing


2nd half
6 of 11, 33yds, 0TD, 3 yards rushing
 
Vick bubbled himself too deep and wide on the OT 4th & 2, and by the time he went north, it was too late. The CREASE is there, to the INSIDE of the left end. Instead, Vick fails to read it, and bubbles waaay wide and deep, and takes it OUTSIDE into the face of TWO defenders.
 
The D was good at times, but it missed a **** ton of tackles... I mean a ton. The safeties allowed themselves to both be pulled out of position pre snap on a long run up the middle, and they gave up 150 yards to a craptastic run game. The ravnes aren't good this year... that wasn't a great showing... that team had no more than 109 yards rushing all season, and Forsett had 43, 68 and 13 yards in prior games... we gave up 150 to forsett and 191 total to them.

Brown lost his NFL record streak. He was rarely targeted when single covered because Vick wouldn't audible into a pass play.

Vick was inaccurate most of the day and didn't throw much to guys coming out of breaks, which is the staple of the O...

The only positive I took from this is with Ben we would have steamrolled this squad

6 yards per attempt in the first half vs a struggling secondary is not at all good...

we kept the ball within the front seven with 30+ rushes and a ton of extremely short passes... we played right into their hands
