We are still undefeated!! 7 and freakin Oh!!! We are the team to beat in the AFC now.

1 game up on KC
2 games up on BUF (with a game to play(
2 up plus the tiebreak on BAL & TEN.

I've started growing my playoff beard!

What great questions do you have for us this week?

Did the weather factor in on the early game struggles or would you contribute that primarily to the rats having an extra week to prepare?

I am sure you going to talk about injuries and the new LB from the Jets. Crickets are surrounding any news on Alualu right now. Maybe we will know more by the time you go to air, but some discusson on the NT rotation going forward would be nice.

As for a question - I have always been a believer in Bud Dupree and the guy has turned into a monster. We all know the chances of keeping him next year are slim. The guy will make some well deserved bank on the open market. The next guy up would logically be Highsmith at this point. We have seen him on the field a bit and he has been around the ball and made some nice plays. Not bad for a rook with no OTA's, limited camp and a guy who was supposed to be a big project due to his small school pedigree and lack of experience. What have you seen in him and is he our next big Monster bookend across from TJ?

Since one of the rats was Rona positive, how does the team handle in week mitigation of possible spread in the locker room?

thanks in advance Cope, you guy(s) ROCK !!!!

1) Did Dez Bryant even hit the field of play yesterday and what did he contribute.............?

2) Biggs came from a pretty decent school / college play, CAN he contribute week in and week out for the remainder of season if need be? next man up

3) BEN is playing smart ball right now, extremely smart. Will he remain a "take what you can get" or revert to "bombs away" play at some point.?

4) How do you see officiating as a whole, across the league ?

5) This is the absolutely BEST year of coaching from Coach Tomlin, how long do we hold our breath ?

Cope, your PODcast(s) are very good and I enjoy the hell out of listening to them when I can. I always have to listen while cooking supper (crazy reasoning) but it sure is a good listen.

Does this team possess the killer instinct ?
KC employed a fake punt against the lowly JETS yesterday signaling they are willing to keep their foot on the throat of all opponents to get to where they want to be.
Are we able to focus and do the same with each and every opponent that remains on our schedule ?

Is the NFC East the Worst division in nfl history... take away interdivisional play and its 2-15-1 vs the rest of The NFL

Its two wins as well as it’s tie are against Teams in last place in their divisions.... a 1 point win over the 2-6 falcons and a 5 point win over the 4-4 49’rs and, of course, the tie vs the bungles...

There is a serious question that needs addressed next year... the massive cut in cap is absolutely going to cut tge market down SIGNIFICANTLY... we are cap strapped, but depending on what he is offered and what kind of space we can create here he may benefit from taking another one year deal just to get to a more normal cap situation... cause you know tgere will be a glut of cap casualties to compete with in free agency this year too....

You know Cope - I was thinking on this a bit more. I asked much the same question about Dotson. Toss in Claypool and you have to feel pretty good about how this coaching staff got these young guys so darn ready with no OTA's and limited camp.

He Cope, keep it rolling on the Podcasts. If I may indulge, two questions. First, we have all kinds of players stepping up on both sides of the ball. Do you feel Vince Williams has earned another contract? Leading the team in combined tackles, up there with TFL and tied in sacks (3) at 4th. I know some feel he’s old. He will be in his eighth year in 2021, which is not “old” for LBs.

2nd, Should JuJu should get another contract keeping him in Pittsburgh. Personal opinions are over the place for this kid, but he is ALL team first, stats second, just as happy seeing someone else score points than him. He’s has worked his butt off to improve his strength/catch radius and power for running over people and blocking. A’la Hines Ward. Would Colbert be making a mistake letting JuJu hit FA?

As always thanks for the outstanding work.

Expanding on my earlier point... the cap is expected to dip from 198million this year to 176 next... over 32 teams, that is a drop of what 704 million?

After filling out rosters with the bare minimums, 9 to 10 teams will be over the cap, including us.
New Orleans will be 95 million over... Massive player cuts are inevitable.
There really are only about 7 to 8 teams that logically could afford the long term contract Dupree deserves
Baltimore is one, as is the Pats... but the pats are going to need seriously rebuilt and the ravens probably need to spend on their oline and wr corps more...

So now you have what is likely to be a glut of free agent options available, and very limited options for long term huge contracts

Does he just chase the money and go to a crap org like the jets? He probably wont see the end of any contract there and his value could end up in the tank, like say everyone who signed there recently....

Or does he can sign a short term deal with someone and risk a bad year in a new system

Or he could take potentially less to play here one more year and then hit a reset cap in 2022....

I mean its iffy any way it goes...

I don't believe you can start growing a playoff beard before the playoffs begin, can you?

7-0 2 games up on the Ratturds and we have the tiebreak? Yup, I started the playoff beard because I think 2 more wins clinches a spot.

It's also no shave November, so reasons...

The playoff beard started in early September for me.
