Playoff scenarios

I'd agree if they were at home, Ravens won't lose this game in Baltimore as much as I wish they would.

Baltimore was in the same situation last year: win-and-in scenario at home, vs. the bungles. Result? A big, fat L, and no postseason. Now, I’m not putting many eggs into that basket, but it’s not like this is unfamiliar territory for them either.

It really is mind-boggling that a team with this much talent is on the outside looking in.

Looks to be only 2 scenarios, assuming steelers win vs Bengals

1. Baltimore loses - steelers win AFC North and 4th seed
2. Balt wins, Colts and Titans Tie - Steelers win 6th seed

Basically it all comes down to rooting for the Browns.

The good news is the Browns do have a chance. A win would mean a winning season for the browns and that's a huge deal for them.

I think it’s more likely the titans and colts tie. I just can’t see ravens losing at home to a rookie QB with that defense playing at such a high level. Especially with their high school offense that is unstoppable for some reason.

How bout this, Tomlin ***** the bed again and again and again, the Steelers watch the playoffs from home, Tomlin drafts 3 more ******* receivers, and Rooney extends him 5 more years...

I think THAT'S y our playoff scenario.

And just so you're clear- even IF the Browns beat the Ravens, do you REALLY believe Tomlin can out coach Marvin Lewis?

No, really? Do you REALLY believe that?

I give the browns a better chance to beat the rat turds than I do us beating the bungals. The browns actually have a good defense

I do think the bengals are that bad right now. The players don’t give a **** about Marv at this point.

I actually think the Browns have a decent shot at beating Baltimore, Mayfield can keep plays alive, and they have a pretty good defense

The bengals are finished. Their defense is worst in the league and everybody on offense is injured. They are starting Jeff Driscol at QB. AJ Green and Tyler Boyd are out. Eifert is out.

More specifically, who believes Tomlin is capable of getting the team emotionally up and prepared for the Bengals???

I predict another sleepy start and the game pathetically in doubt late in the 4th, with Ben needing to bail cool shades out

The raiders were 2 and 11 when we lost to them. Tomlin will find a way to **** it up. so I double down on my statement the Browns have a better shot at winning next week than we do.

I think they browns have a good chace. Mayfield has been playing really well. The Browns have a good run game with Chubb. Njoku is a matchup problem.

The Chargers really only have Keenan Allen as a reliable target. Mike Williams is still hit or miss. The Ravens were smart enough to take away Allen and not cover him with a LB.

The browns can also replicate the Ravens offense in practice with Tyrod Taylor

I think Mayfield can escape the pressure enough to make things happen, Rivers is a sitting duck, something Baltimore figured out and came after him while we just rushed 3 or 4

Browns have a decent chance to beat the Ravens. They have a lot of mostly young talent on both sides of the ball, and unfortunately, I believe they'll be the class of the AFC North in the not-too-distant future.

Browns have won 5 of 6 games and Mayfield has been terrific completing 71.5 percent of his passes for an average of 263.5 yards per game with 14 touchdowns and just 4 interceptions.

But the Raiders were home and played hard in that game. The Bengals are on the road and it's week 17. It's what they call a "suitcase" game. Meaning Bengal players will have their lockers cleaned out and bags packed and many of them won't even fly back to Cincy after the game, they'll just fly straight home.

I know Tomlin has this well earned reputation of playing like **** vs bad teams but the steelers are in a must win situation and the Bengals are planning vacations

Ravens will take the run game away from them. It’s going to be on the rookie QB to win it. I don’t see it happening. Harbough has turned that team around somehow.

true but the ravens are apparently allowed to clothesline the QB and rip his helmet off without penalty so Mayfield needs to watch it.

Of course the clowns are a much better team than the Chargers... That's why they lost to them by 24 ******* POINTS AT HOME.

Seriously the clowns aren't that good. They've beaten one decent team and that was the rats before they changed their offense. I believe that was Flacco's last game when he got hurt. They haven't beaten a good team this year. They usually get blown out by good teams. They got hammered by the Chargers, KC, and Houston... I know the Steelers tied them the first game but the 2nd game the Steelers won 33 to 18.

They've been beating up on bad teams like Carolina, Denver and the Raiders. Baltimore should win the game but stranger things have happened.

Well let's hope they choke again this year, don't think it will happen, but will be hoping like hell it does.

Yes and they've won 5 of their last 10 as well. They got blasted by Houston and even got blasted by KC if you don't arbitrarily have a 6 game cut off. They've beaten some bad teams and lost to good teams.

JFC! Listen to yourself. “But it was her ex-boyfriend and I had been a real jerk.”

The Steelers underachieved. Again. No excuses.

I'm not excusing the steeler loss to the raiders, It's an embarrassment and no matter what happened, THAT game is why the steelers will have nobody to blame but themselves if they sit home for the playoffs.

You should re-read what i wrote for the context. Somebody said the steelers could lose to the Bengals because they lost to the ****** Raiders. I pointed out the difference is that raider team played hard and this bengal team is an injury riddled mess that quit a few weeks ago.

Therefore, even with Tomlin's track record of tanking vs **** teams, i doubt that will happen against a Bengal team that is already mentally on vacation.

Agreed, but two of those bad teams beat us, so who knows
