You know because he's a big dummy and holds the ball to long. If Gilbert just gets in his guys way it's probably game over, watch how open AB breaks while Ben is getting hit.

God, that hurts to watch. This is the kind of thing that pisses me off though. Since Sunday, all anyone has been spewing out is how Ben is at the end, and the Steelers are this or that or blah blah ******* blah. The game was played in a monsoon for Christ’s sake, and there were tons of stupid miscues like this that lead to the ending. AB picks up 35+ yards on that play, and you’re right, it is game over.

I'll stick with these couldA shouldA wouldA bums all the way to the winning of the Super Bowl................................................. A-ok and I'm sure you'll join me.

Salute the nation

Yeah, big dummy is the root of all our problems. Start Dobbs. Lol.

That's just painful.

Great post. Couldn't agree more. There was another similar play where Al / Decastro failed Ben and Ben was blamed.

And after the game, I broke down all of "BEN'S turnovers" and most of them were not his fault:

Ben had two BAD INTs, the one to AB in double coverage that was picked and the chuck down the field the safety picked off. The other bad play he made was not falling on the ball on the low Pouncey snap play where he got strip sacked. I know it eats the play but it would have saved possession.

Had Conner open in the flat with lots of running room too.

It looked like Washington was burning his man too. But where he was looking w/ AB looks like it would've been sayanora.

And look at The Outlaw taking care of Garrett. :dispirited:

Agree but he didn't have more time to wait. If he dumps to Conner that strip doesn't even happen. That's what happens when your OL can't stop edge rushers and the QB gets caught.

He had no time to drop it off to Connor, he was starting to go to AB when Connor turned around.

If he knew no one was going to block Garrett I'm sure he would've, but I'm sure he expected to have at least two seconds to throw the quick screen.

Yep, noticed that too. Great job by JJ on that play.

Damn, Gilbert was useless on that play, and Conner went to pick up a non-existent pass rusher between the guards.

Teams will smother AB with no Bell and force Ben to hold the ball. Other receivers need to step up or it's going to be a long year.

Get Dobbs ready!

Big Ben misses another practice; 'We'll see'

Didn’t his *** just say yesterday that it was only a bruise? Is this the typical ruse from Ben, or is there more to it?

Most QBs fall on the ball and protect the ball first. Ben tried to make a play and it cost us possession.

Good design by browns. The fake blitz up the middle meant Conner had to react to that because pressure up the middle is the more immediate danger. That drew him out of position to help Glibert outside.

This is a good illustration of where the steeler defense has struggled the last few years. This play was designed to get their edge rusher a one on one matchup and he won. The steelers pass rushers over the last few years have not been winning these opportunities.

Didnt we lead the league in sacks last year?

Watching those replays, the line was frickin TERRIBLE.
