The 1930s were a different era. Some sports fans might find this unbelievable, but Pennsylvania had something called “blue laws,” which banned sports events on Sundays. Something unimaginable in today's world. Luckily, in 1933, these laws were relaxed, igniting a spark that created the birth of the Pittsburgh Steelers fan base. You could say an official Steelers fan base was born from a simple change in law. United by football, they’ve become one of the most passionate fanbases. Sundays in Pittsburgh were never the same again.
