Living in Phoenix, I got to see that jackass a lot on local TV. My kids went to U of A, so no conflict with AS Who,

Glad that stench will be out of the state.

After he bagged out on Pitt, one of his assistants, OC or DC I think, who by all accounts was a decent guy, liked it here and wanted the job, applied for it but they told him to take a hike too since he had the stench of Graham on him.
So then Pitt went out and hired the wife beater who had the job for less than a week.
Pitt administration sent Wannstasche packing but haven't found anyone as good since. Idiots.
Amazing that they beat #2 Miami on Friday though. Go figure.
 
Ron, Pitt is a stepping stone coaching opportunity, not a destination. This is how it will be in my lifetime.

And please, don"t wish for my early demise.

this is very true, but the way he left, empty promises and didn't even have the balls to tell his team he took another HC job. What he did to his players was low class and I have no respect for him.

That guy didn't beat his wife. He did what you do when a woman is punching you, he grabbed her wrists to make her stop, that's why they were bruised. Pitt used that as an excuse. The real reason the got rid of him is that they found out that the girl was 22 years old, he was 40+, they had a baby, and weren't married. Messy personal life, not becoming of a Pitt coach. Also, both Walt Harris, and Paul Evans were rumored to enjoy the company of young women on campus while they were there. Many didn't like this, and didn't want another coach with a taste for young women.

I know but Wannstasche would have been here for life. Not such a good game day coach but sent a lot of guys to the NFL and was a helluva recruiter. They still haven't found anyone better.
 
Hire Todd Haley. He wasn't used right on the other side of the building and would look great in the blue and gold.
