Phil Simms anti-Steelers?

I am ready for the Homer option when watching games. I want the option to listen to the local broadcasts.

You can do it in Sirrus/XM.....It is high time it comes to the ticket.

Local broadcasts are far superior to the lazy 2nd rate broadcasts on the national level.

Locals know their product, and their competition.

This and either an individual game or team option.

As for Simms, I don't think he's anti-Steelers, just another NFL yes man. I can't stand listening to him and Nantz because they try to make the broadcast about themselves instead of the game.

I am getting to the point that the loss is not as devastating as it use to be .. the direction that the NFL is moving is making it harder and harder to watch the game. I have taken to watching ONLY steelers games and at times that is even difficult when the officials constantly favor the other team.

Pretty soon Sundays will only be another day and not a game day ...

I don't care who the announcers are, today's version of the NFL flat out sucks. When they need to define the term "catch" during a video replay, and you have some players who can mug a guy while others can't be within a couple feet without drawing a flag, the game is definitely done for.

Get rid of instant replay, forget about making the game safer and making rules to help the offense. A tackle is a tackle so long as the offensive player is down. These calls for tackling too high or too low, or too hard is totally ridiculous. The only thing they should flag you for is a late hit and it does not matter where you are hit. If the other team takes out your QB with a bad hit, take out theirs, along with their RB. Just like the olden days when the NFL rocked.

Forget this stuff where defenders are flagged for bumping a WR 5 yards downfield and turn interference into a another defined term that's based on the ref's interpretation. Go back to the days when interference was synonymous with mugging. Everyone in the stadium and at home knew it was interference even the defensive player.

The entire night, Phil Simms, was obviously calling the game in favor of the Seahawks. Especially on the Chancler Interception, while they were showing the preview as we were seeing it, he continued to remark how clearly he possessed the ball on the turnover, yet not a single replay showing such. Also, how he was very quick on calling Wheaton's catch an incompletion. .. and I could definitely go on..

Phil Simms needs a 60 yard kick to his balls.

Over the years, I think he's more pro Steelers. Simms was better years ago. He has slipped a bit, and to be honest he was only above average at his best.

No! You take that back. In Florida I would have to do yard work on Sundays if it became "another day". Plus, my wife might pick up on my drinking problem. I need Sunday football to mask my issues with lawn care and beer drinking. Not cool! Ha!

He's horrible. He's not horrible because of any bias, he's horrible because he's bad at his job. He will contradict himself several times throughout a broadcast. He often leaves comments and statements hanging. Listen and note how some times he'll finish a thought with "and so" and then he never completes it. He constantly uses his patented fall back line, "We talked about it earlier, Jim...." Use that as your drinking game next time and you'll never be able to walk home. And his country bumpkin comes out when referencing dialogue from those conversations by replacing the word "says" with "goes." "And he goes, and she goes, and they go." And, as it's already been noted, when it comes to the officials he rarely ever disagrees with them and often will say, "Good call by the officials." Plus, he will never disagree with a boneheaded decision by a coach.

There's nothing that Simms says that means anything to anyone but blind homers.

Steelers ******* lost - blame them and their coach - not some announcer.
