PFT/Florio still BULLSHIT

Mike is pretty successful, and smart. I don't; agree with him all the time, but he's his own man and has pissed off all 32 teams, which means he's doing his job and calling it like he sees it.

Do you put effort into being an idiot or is it a natural gift?

I like Whitlock, and he's one of the few writers who played football, at least on the college level. It seems like he's fixated on adding race to the topic whenever he can. Some African American's consider him a sell-out type.

How many writers does PFF have anyway? I see four who contribute.

Mike Florio Main contributor Aside from his work on the website and appearances during halftime of Notre Dame games on NBC with Peter King, Florio works as a lawyer. He resides in West Virginia. Before creating the site, Florio worked at ESPN.com for a week.

Gregg Rosenthal Contributor Joined the writing staff following the affiliate agreement with NBC. Moved on to NFL.com in March 2012.

Michael David Smith Contributor Re-joined the writing staff in 2009 while still working for FanHouse

Josh Alper Contributor Author of "one-liners," short team-by-team news blurbs posted at least once a day.

If one were African American, that would be over-representation based on their population size.

Whatchutalkinbout Willis???

Sure, you can prove that. Show us! If anything he cares more about TV rating than clicks.

A better way to look at it Florio states his own opinions using logic and examples and the sensitive fans ( You ) just can't seem to stomach it at times.

He obviously very smart and successful, you're just too stupid to notice it. He also has a keen understanding of law and business, which most media people that focus on football do not.

Florio clearly has a good product when they're aggregating news and reporting it. It's quick easy reads citing the first couple of reporters covering a story. The opinion stuff isn't great and it's not just sensitive fans since he is routinely bashed by football fans from all teams. Whitlock didn't even need to chime in because the original guy who called out Florio already buried the point, Whitlock just piled out.

Florio’s latest garbage — about how the players have the “power” to “walk out” & can boycott over social justice issues.

After one “Go Ahead & Walk Out” reply garnered 750 [emoji106] — comments were suspended

Disclaimer: This is not intended as a defense of Mike Florio's website.

Florio is a Pittsburgh guy, I knew him during his past career - former litigation lawyer around these parts and was successful, enough to just walk away from it. His wife is also a lawyer, local to my area so he moved here, see them in church, at local school sports events, etc. Away from the NFL stuff, he's a solid guy, smart and found a way to do something better than arguing with people every day. They are good people.

As to his reporting/tv/radio/website - he's one of what ... 25 weekly football shows? That's a highly competitive niche and it's part-time of August-January. Yeah, he stretches, likely for attention, but they mostly all do to varying degrees. That niche market is overly-saturated with every recently-retired player or two paired with a former runway model all talking football in front of a camera. They survive only via the amount of attention they can generate. Is it good for anything? Probably not, other than their ability to keep their jobs.

Now, let me put this fire-retardant blanket on before I get flamed here.

It is good to hear that he is s good guy, and a sad commentary on society that the same guy is rewarded for being a media douche, and profiting from that.
