Anyone who watched the last part of Manning's season could tell he was playing hurt... He was shredding defenses for most of the season... I actually thought he was hurt two games earlier against KC...

Maybe they should name Peyton the coach and then he can cut himself. I see him being done and wants to pursue buying the Titans.

When he was a "hot shot", his excusses seemed to be throwing his team mates under the bus. Anyone remeber him saying the OL was the problem, his kicker was a problem, his RB didn;t seem to run as hard as usual, etc. etc. etc.

Umm no. I remember him saying they had protection issues, and Joey Porter coming in unblocked two plays in a row would be protection issues. He never said his kicker was the problem he said his kicker was an idiot, and he was. I don't remember the etc, etc, etc.

I'm hearing what your saying, Payton is about PaYTON. Of coarse he does have one other passion, has to do with that new car smell....

I really don't understand how so many people hate PEYton Manning, and I've never got the impression that he is all about himself. The amount of work he puts in with film, with his WR's, the knowledge that he has... seems to me he's all about winning, and when he doesn't win he gets frustrated, and rightfully so. I'm glad Ben gives the "proper" answer when asked similar questions, but I wouldn't have an issue with Ben if he said things the way Peyton does either. Both have taken the blame for not playing well when the team needed it most. I just don't see how this is such a big issue.
