Peyton had been playing hurt?

Old and injury prone likely due to age. Problem with Peyton is he can no longer complete a season and stay healthy. Come playoff time his body is worn down effecting his performance.

I like Payton ... but it seems like an excuse to me. But then again he is just like all the other players that resort to saying they were hurt when they played .. Maybe he was , Maybe he wasn't ..

Peyton didn't say that. nor did he blame an injury. What he said was...
"I didn't play as well consistently in the second half of the season,'' Manning said. "I can't give you a great reason for that. Played well at times, but probably not as consistently, certainly didn't play as consistently in the second half of the season as I did in the first half.''

If you're hurt and you play you're hurting your team and perhaps a bit selfish. I thought his passes were weak and lacked velocity - is their backup really that bad?

Yes. More yes.

And yet The Rogmeister wants to expand the number of regular season games.

He must have healed up in time for the playoffs because he looked just like his old post-season self.

I see what you did there. Karma sent.

I think Peyton is done. I've always liked him, but the last month or so, his arm just died. I'd hate to see him hanging around too long and becoming a joke. Just walk away, nothing left to prove.

One more year for PM, possibly. And that is because they have no one to replace him with.....yet.

Rodgers certainly didn't look like he was as hurt as they kept chirping either. I'm not buying it.

MVP till he loses, looking mediocre and then all the injuries come to light. He was a great QB, to many excuses when he isn't the hot shot. Time to go throw a pizza in the air at Poppa Johns.

This wasn't the first year Peyton's play has fallen off late in the season. It was about the 50th, including every year in Denver.

There was a lot of talk that he was injured because his play fell off during the final part of the season. I hadn't watched him over the final month, so last night was startling. At some point, you have to wonder how much his body will recover. It was sad to watch last night.

I watched a lot of Denver's games because I had him and CJ Anderson on my team

I had to bench Peyton the last two games - it was obvious something was wrong with him at the end, but great for me when they ran a lot

Now Peyton will be playing without his head coach

as they have parted ways

My favorite non Steeler player by far. Always has been

games comp % yds tds int rating
24 63.96 6800 38 24 88.5
15 61.45 3483 21 19 83.3

according to steeler fans one of these guys sucks in the playoffs while the other is a hof'er because of his playoff performances

Yep, I loved Bubby Brister. he was a gamer..

Peyton needs no coach.

Couch, YES, ........... Coach, No ! !!!!!

When he was a "hot shot", his excusses seemed to be throwing his team mates under the bus. Anyone remeber him saying the OL was the problem, his kicker was a problem, his RB didn;t seem to run as hard as usual, etc. etc. etc.

DIC, that's why I said he needed no coach. It's all about him and will always be about him. Arrogant prick wrecked a few chances at the bowl.

Here is a pick of Peyton as he is trying desperately to tie Ben and Eli for Super Bowl wins
