There's a reason why MM plays a lot of Led Zeppelin on his show. . . they have a lot in common.

Skipping a mandatory meeting is unprofessional. No matter who is doing the skipping.
Being pissed is understandable. Doesn't give you an excuse to be unprofessional.
I also believe there's less to this story than is being made of it because of who it was that's doing the reporting. But, the situation bears keeping an eye on.
Was I unclear?

This is true. He’s been accurate in the past. Though I really don’t like him he has been spot in regarding the issues. I think he knows a few guys on the team. Perhaps Ben is his source.

Can’t afford to have Watt pissed off as he’s a free agent soon. . It’s not like him to act that way. He’s mostly a low maintenance player.

Actually, "Others", i.e. "I", am very happy that TJ hit the liar with his rebuttal. Would have made me think less of TJ if he had skipped the exit interviews. He didn't. So, that's that.

Implied? I think everyone here knows that if I have something to say, I have no problem flat out saying it. As I have done numerous times.
Now, if you took what I wrote and added your own interpretation to it, that's your problem and none of mine.

Yep..exactly my point. Thanks for clarifying it. You said what you said. While others might sidestep it we both know what you were implying. Now that a source is saying you are wrong you are backstepping. All is good.
 
Bacon, many ways to cook bacon. Just add butter and you've cranked it up a notch. If I'm cooking for one then it's 1 or 2 lbs., for each additional person I add 2-3lbs (so as I can eat more and blame it on others).

Dude, you keep talking about "Implying" something. Just say what you THINK I was implying. I can only agree or disagree with your thought. But, I think that what you are implying I was implying was wrong. If I had been thinking what you think I was thinking, I would not have "implied" anything; I would have flat out said it. It's not like I haven't done so before. I don't "imply" those things. I speak out clearly.

All IS good. Had lasagna for dinner. 7 layers with the italian sausage mixed in with the ground beef, garlic bread topped with toasted parmesan. Good stuff.

wth are you babbling about? . Now, if you mean why did I choose AB and LB. That's simple, can you name two more recent Steelers players that have had their issues and transgressions pointed out in the media and discussed Ad Nauseum on the board? If so, please do. Each of their situations was different as far as their behavior before, during and after not signing and trying to force their way out (as Slash noted). Remember though, they were each, at one point in time, very popular with the fans. However, at the time the reports came out, they were despised. TJ is at the height of his popularity right now. But, if he were in a contract year or pushing for a new contract (rightly or wrongly), I wonder if the love would be the same if a report like that came out? I'm betting not.

A pass? Dude, you asked why. I told you why. If you can't understand that LB/AB were the two most recent examples of Madden's Hit Parade, I don't know what to tell ya. Add in that they were once popular Steelers who, once reports of similar behavior as that Madden ascribed to TJ came to light, were very quickly definitely not popular. Well, I guess you don't see it.

AB LB had a history of why fans lost patients with them. It was not one thing. Two things. Even three things. What was Watt's history? SMH.... You know where you were going with this. You should be ashamed of yourself. Especially when it came out that Watt stated it was wrong. You couldn't backpedal fast enough.

And there you have it. That history started somewhere right? Maybe with a few little things like temper tantrums on the side line, smoking a lill ganja before a game or boycotting meetings (Deebo). Watt says Madden is a liar. With Madden's history, I'm inclined to believe him. But, if, for once, Madden was telling the truth, Watt would have deserved some ire for his unprofessional actions. Sorry you don't see that and would rather make it about the other thing.

I have nothing to be ashamed of. Accountability is an issue we discuss on this board all the time. Had Madden's report been true, which you took it at face value when I said it probably wasn't, I would have lost some respect for TJ and would have wanted to know how the situation was being handled; how/if he was being held accountable. Had the situation been true, it appears you wouldn't want those things and would chalk it up to "It's only one time".

I won't be awaiting your response. This discussion is getting stale and quite repetitive.

So Madden is crap or not crap? AB took how many years of stupid ship to get the fan's disapproval and then even some fans blamed other players. Bell had his entire drama play out over a bunch of years. Then Watt being basically a model player on and off the field and a article comes out and you compare him to AB and LB.....pretty easy to see where you were going. I call bullshit with your back-peddle. In the end your MO is basiclly always the same. I agree with a lot of the stuff you post. Just not this. And yes. We do disagree.
 
I heard MM say this on my way home from work yesterday. He likes to stir the pot but he is not often wrong. Regardless, I don't see it as a big deal if true. I don't often listen to MM but 93.7 The Fan was talking about the Pirates.
