Pens 25-26 thread

I have a much better feeling about the start of this year than last. I hope they can sustain and stay way ahead of the curve.

The defense is much better than we thought it would be and the goaltending is freaking amazing.....Jarry playing like we thought he would have the last few years. Silovs is really good too. I mean, when is the last time they could roll 2 goaltenders and not have a drop off?

And these guys are just a pain in the *** to play against. Always getting to the puck and making it hard for the other teams in transition. That is what I love about this team.

And look what happens when they give up a goal? They just keep grinding, and overwhelm the other team. That 3rd period last night was awesome.

I think "freaking amazing" is a bit of a stretch for the goal tending, but it is definitely doing well enough. Some things need work by those two. Not complaining, except for Silvos and shoot outs, but it's working well so far!

Its freaking amazing compared to what we have had to put up with the last few years. A lot of it is the guys playing better defense in front of them. Amazing how that works lol. What is their combined save percentage right now? It has to be pretty good. Jarry kept them in that game last night the first two periods.

I agree on the defense. From the looks of things, the blue liners are primarily defense again, not forwards. It makes a difference.

Well the next 5 games coming up will tell us a lot about what exactly we have here. Definitely the toughest stretch so far.
