There's life here, Jim... The small flightless and illogical birds score 1 with 15.3 seconds to go in the second period.
 
Boston sucks more than the Pens and still won.

The Pens have now secured a losing season.

They have the Caps in the final which should be a scoring fest. Just my hunch.

Last game of this lousy season. We finished strong, but too little too late. 1-1 near the end of the 1st, but we have missed four easy goals already.

I hope we finish strong.

Been listening to 105.9 the X and watching the game in the background. Hoping this isn't the Ol' 29er's last season on the radio.

Well, I guess I can shut it down for hockey until the Stanley Cup Final.

It's going to be an interesting offseason. I hope the draft brings a little hope for the future.

Pens are in the lottery and currently in 9th place. A top 10 pick is a nice place to be. How did the Flyers get 7 picks in the first two rounds. wow.
 
We ended on a high note over all. Just a cluster of a season. We really need to up our talent. The goalie situation is depressing. The defense was horrid, until a bunch of young guys showed up. Even then it was just OK.

Fix that defense/net minder situation and we can compete, IMO. With all the surplus draft pics, and an impressive WBS team, we should be improved.
 
Our first pick was Benjamin Kindel, C from Canada.

 
We traded the 12th pick to Philly, but I can't find what we got for it.

Just found it, we got picks 22 & 23. Not bad. I would have liked Jack Nesbitt though. A Lefty center.
 
In retrospect, if we are targeting defense, or netminders, this trade may be OK.

It is. I typed it wrong. Didn't catch it. Tnx.

Turned out we traded the 31st and a later on this year, and just picked up a center Will Horcoff. Rumor is he is a "combine freak". Played at Michigan. His dad is a NHL alum, current Redwing exec.

If you watch the Kindel kid's highlights you'll see the Chemistry he already has with Pens 2024 2nd round pick, Tanner Howe. Both kids need to get "bigger", Wondering when Connor Bedard is going to figure that out. Averaging 64 points per season is stupid with his talent level. Get in the gym and don't skip leg day!

Damn kids these days don't have sense enough to stop looking at their phone when crossing a busy intersection much less go the extra mile to advance their careers. I don't care if it's hockey or ditch digging. With the exception of a very few, they're lazy as hell. Hey you get offn' my lawn!!
 
You all get to watch Porter Martone lead in Philthy for the next several years. He went 6th overall....would have looked good in Black and Gold!
