Patty cakes/ filthy Birds game thread.

Yeah I know the Panthers don't have much of a shot...but I can't root against Cam and Pete Carroll is a doucheyacht.

I wouldn't mind seeing Carolina win, but my priority is for the NFC Champ to be capable of beating NE. Seattle fits the bill, so I have to root for them. I could live with Green Bay, but having to root for Dallas would be beyond the pale. That said, the thought of NE winning again makes me even more nauseous that the thought of Jerry Jones dancing around with the Lombardi.

If there is a team I hate, it has to be New Enlgland. I was pulling for Baltimore even though they are a division rival.

I ******* hate the Ravens.

**** them, glad they lost and didn't find some lucky bullshit to eke that one out.

Flacco still blows chunks in my book.

And not one goddamned roughing the passer penalty on the Rats. Brady must be on the refs **** list. Goodell was at the game for crissakes!
C'mon

Stupid pass by Flacco. First of all you have around a minute and a half and you're driving down in NE territory with a timeout. 2nd and 5 you have 3 tries to get the 1st down, why throw into the end zone? Even if you score a TD Brady still has over a minute to get at least into FG range with 4 downs to work with. Just keep chipping away, kill some clock and drive it down to the goal line. Stupid risky pass in that situation.

Flacco shows how much of his contract he's worth... zilch!

Yup. Rats WR should have adjusted and caught that though.
haha, if anyone here would say that in Ben's defense they'd get blasted. Dont you know elite qb's are supposed to put the ball in perfect position every throw.

Man I hate the Ravens as much as the next guy but you gotta give credit where credit is due, Joe Flacco play d a damn fine game and it should have, in theory, won the game. He has a cannon for an arm, master of drawing pass interenfernce, and damn good playoff QB.

Now that I've gotten that nasty **** outta my mouth, in order for us to re-establish the physical nature of our team, we'll have to draft great and hopefully the new coordinator brings back what Steelers defense is all about.

Tackling can be improved, shedding blocks needs to improve, but above all else our beat your dick into the sand needs to return.

The Ravens are the main challenge in the division and every decision from this moment should be focused on beating them.

That last loss in the playoffs left a bad taste in my mouth.

I read some where that Flacco averages 1 PI call a game since he entered the league...Tops in that time.

I wish we had Joe Flacco. Guy is awesome.

Harbaugh's pissed because he didnt think of it first

Or any other coach in NFL history for that matter. Because most of them are somewhat ethical. Say what you want but it's bush IMO. A very Bellicheat thing to do.

Seems like Harbaugh's panties are in a bunch because they were not aware of the rules. The Pats found an advantage and used it. Be smart and creative, along as it's within the rules.

If anyone can post the video of Brady in the skirmish where he gets knocked down like three times, once by the ref I think, I would appreciate it. That was comic ****** gold for the ages. For all his stats and wins, Brady tries to wear this tough guy competitor and he looks like Martha Stuart doing it. **** is he gay.

Oh for Chrissakes, its not bush. If it was anyone other than either harbaugh or belichick, you wouldnt see a problem with it and you know it. This HAS been done before in a football game.

Hey harbaugh, get yourself well-acquainted with the rulebook, ya jackass. I mean, you are a professional football HEAD coach, rigtht? But no its cool, go ahead and ***** at the podium like you love to do, after your team gave up 2, COUNT 'EM TWO, 14-point leads in one game. Yeah, your rats were screwed by a single play in the middle of the game where your defense was confused for a few seconds

Interesting. I was watching ESPN this morning and every single panelist and former player asked said they had never heard or seen anyone do that during a football game in their entire lives. To answer your first question, nobody besides Bellicheck would stoop to using a bush tactic like that so it's a moot question.

I agree. They found a way to exploit what was legal. Good for them.

I also think they find ways to exploit things that are still illegal.

Two teams I dislike, hopefully the other gets knocked off this upcoming weekend.

Seems like their "secret weapon", Ernie Adams, is still on the payroll. He's that genius they hired to help them gameplan and offer other advice when needed.

Anyone else remember this dude?

Exactly,

They have Ernie Adams and no one else does. He allows them to push the envelope, and they do when they need to. I have to credit them for saving their new tactic until real need (down in a PO game). It might seem bushleague, but it was legal, and Harbage proves it was meaningful.

Rats down, Crygirls and *Pats to go.

Hairbaugh got caught at his own game, he wined himself to death and got flagged and now yells foul. He teaches his team to continue extra play after the whistle to get flags which each of the Rat Birds have to take a test to show they know the signal, for throw a flag before they can play. Poor loser. I love the fact he is crying.
