A locker room attendant for the New England Patriots tried to introduce an unapproved special teams football into last month's AFC Championship Game, the same game at the center of the "Deflategate" allegations, four sources familiar with the investigation told "Outside the Lines."

One source said that the attendant assigned to the officials' locker room, identified as 48-year-old Jim McNally, has been interviewed by investigators for Ted Wells, the attorney the NFL hired last month to lead an investigation into allegations the Patriots intentionally used underinflated footballs on offensive plays in the first half of that game against the Indianapolis Colts, which New England won 45-7.

Three sources said that McNally has worked Patriots games for a decade, and has been in charge of the officials' locker room at Gillette Stadium since at least 2008. In the first half of the AFC Championship Game, the sources said, McNally tried to give the unapproved football to an alternate official who was in charge of the special-teams footballs. Those footballs are known as "kicking balls" or "K balls."

McNally is a part-time employee who was hired by The Kraft Group, a company owned by Patriots owner Robert Kraft. Kelly Way, the director of operations for TeamOps at Gillette Stadium, said NFL game-day employees are paid by The Kraft Group. McNally is not listed in the Patriots' main switchboard directory.

And Kraft has the nerve to want an apology from the NFL. The whole organization is just classless and a bunch of cheaters.
 
Rog is still gonna be Kraft's blow buddy ..nothing will happen..or if it does McNutty will take the fall for the entire team ..nothing to the Cheats, Brady, Bellycheat Kraft they will all want the NFL to send them a written apology

My read is that McNally just got hisself a nice new house somewhere south and warm, where he can consult for the Kraft Group as needed.

You forgot the monthly envelope delivered to him personally by a man in a black suit driving a nondescript late model sedan. (And while this may sound like a cliche and I'm joking, I am not joking)
 
You know I was thinking about this entire thing the other day -- thinking back on other teams/players that have been accused of things -- it seems to me that the ones that are GUILTY as sin are the ones that try to say they are innocent..

what do you guys think ?

It is a lot easier to apologize after the SB then admit guilt one week prior. Roger probably scripted the whole thing. Remember the burned film from Spygate? Krapft and Roger work really well together; a little thespian-ism demonstrating a public tiff is just marketing and positioning, and they know it, and they know folks watching them know it. Just sad.

Not true. The kicking balls are separate from the 12 balls used by the offense. They are shipped in special boxes directly from the manufacturer specifically for each game.
 
They cheat, it's all they know. I don't give a damn how many titles they win they are a farce. I'm still pissed at the ******** Seabags for choking and not running the ball allowing those pukes to win.
 
As a matter of fact, since the kicking balls are kept separate from the balls used on offense, and the kicking balls are marked differently, it takes a certain level of arrogance to think that you could just slip a ball past the official who is responsible for looking after those balls only.

They have probably been doing it for years... the NFL officials were on alert for this game due to complaints leading up to the game.

They cheat in all sorts of ways. I know it. You know it.The NFL knows it. And deep down their chowder eating annoying *** accent fans know the team is bullshit.

Then they are stupid. It's as plain as it gets. It's really not that hard to connect the dots since Billicheat rolled in. They want to believe that somehow they have this superior organization head and shoulders above all for over a decade. If they're legit then Santa is real and I'm Elvis.
