Surprised that Dungey would say something like that. I'd be more surprised if players who were coming over would know that. Pretty hard to keep a conspiracy when you are firing people all the time and they work for your competitor. Especially post spygate I'd say there is no way that happened and any players knew about it. Belichick would have got the nfl death penalty if that was true.

Damn, we are running out of stars to use

BugGate!!!!!!!!! **** the Pats****

You mean like how they worked so hard to clear him in Deflategate? The NFL knew that if Belichick was connected in any way to deflating footballs, he'd have to be given the Pete Rose treatment. Personally, I don't think it's a coincidence that a league lawyer helped draft the Wells report. I wouldn't be surprised if his sole purpose was to keep any connection between Belichick and the actions of the "underlings" out of the report. The NFL can not afford to have to suspend Belichick for life .... it would be a PR nightmare and put the nail in the coffin on legitimacy questions regarding the Pats** Super Bowl wins.

I thought that this had been known for years. Cheating ********.

I'd say if there were ex pats players who were willing to step forward and say that the Pats bugged the oppositions locker room that not even the NFL could cover that up and according to what people have said about the language of the spygate penalty that Belichek would have to get the death penalty. Pretty fair to say that he might not have known about the deflated footballs. Or at least fair to say that it would be difficult if not impossible to say that he definitely did know. Impossible to say that he wouldn't know about the oppositions locker room being bugged. P.S. I think you can purchase detectors for those things at circuit city. If the Colts actually believed this wouldn't they check for themselves.

It's been rumored for years. Players wouldn't have to know about Spygate and bugging the opponent's locker room, just Belicheat and a handful of coaches and they call plays accordingly.

Some good points there. Don't know how effective a "bug detector" bought at Circuit City would be. As far as players telling their new coach what their old coach was doing to cheat, I'd figure they might be willing to tell behind closed doors, but not to a league official. Why Dungy didn't take the info to the league is a question I'd like to hear the answer to.

I think the article stated the Colts learned about it from ex Pat players. I could see the Pats doing it but I can't picture players sitting around the radio listening. It could only be at the highest level. No way an ex player knows that.

Belichick would never allow his players to become aware of the bugging. He's not an idiot.

He is no idiot but Arrogance is an Achilles heel.

This came from Tony Dungy who is not some hothead complainer. He knows this will be a big story so he must be pretty sure it happened to throw this out there.

Former pats who played for the Colts told them that that pats bugged the locker room. Manning would talk with coaches in the hallway.

Cheaters

If this is true, Goodell needs to fine them...AGAIN. New England cheaters.

Al,

Who said it came directly from a player? A coach might know if they bugged locker rooms. I think its very plausible and history confirms it happened before. Eric Mangini who was the head coach of the NY Jet busted New England because he knew they were filming the other teams on their own sideline.

BB is not an idiot, but not all of his former employees like him.

Why would the players have to know? A LBer a while back(I forget his name) stated before every game he had a piece pf paper taped to his locker of the opposing teams audibles. He said he didn't care where it came from ...only that it helped him.

When doing things like that it is possible that a player or two would discover something or be brought in even if it was not generally known.

The important thing is this: around this league, the *pats name is ****. Their reputation is ****.

I heard a former player on radio today, didn't catch the name but he was an offensive player. He said when they played the pats, whenever they called an audible, Bruschi would also audible into the perfect coverage every time. Guy said it was a joke that they could be right every single time.

Players know they are cheating.

Think about how the SB ended. The pats said they practiced against that exact play and taught that CB to jump the route and not worry about getting beat.

Maybe the pats filmed the Seattle practice and saw that as one of their goal line plays. They we re accused of taping the Rams walkthrough. That was never proven which is far from saying it didn't happen.

what a ******* surprise... not

Look I will state all this once more:

#1 Dick hoak, upon retirement, said that back in the days of the same set of VHS game tapes being circulated to teams, they were playing the same opponent BB's team had just played. when they got their gametapes, they also got practice and sideline footage of that team... the Rooneys opted to deal with it quietly, as they always do...

#2 Rumors were always present long before Spygate that The pats hacked the QB signal frequency. This was also along the lines that somehow whenever a team was doing well vs them, the headsets would experience static or be knocked off line totally at Foxboro. This persisted till the year after spygate broke, when the league opted mysteriously to hire a major security firm to encrypt the QB headset system, which is all on record by the way...

#3 There were ample rumors that the Pats miked players besides the QB all the way back to the early 2000's... at least one cut guy alledged it... and after the spygate fiasco, the league allowed one defensive player to be miked as well...

#4 there were rumors that bradys headset doesn't cut off during the play

#5 during spygate the league confiscated illegal audio equipment along the sidelines... it was in every early report. Goodell commented on it once, saying it was sent off for examination, later he dismissed it as nothing as he buried the rest of the evidence

#6 they had multiple reports of taping practices and walkthroughs

...Bugging a locker room would be right along those lines... totally corrupt org over there... should be totally dissolved if found to be true...

That is why most NFL teams want the ****************pats put to the wall and not let RG conseedto a settlement. I think, a settlement would be a good agreement (like one or two games) seems fair. But the owners are like **** that, we are tired of their **** of cheating.

It also burns my *** that we had that afc championship game which since this came out of their cheating. We would have/should have won. And without a doubt we win that SB.

I'm sick of the pats, not like one would be for a team that keep winning but rathe that endlessly breaks the rules in such a way to win. **** them. That and Jfc, can anyone in their division compete at any level.

**** them and their "look the other way" fans, how can you root for such frauds?
