If they would take a second round pick I’d be all over it but you know they want a first round pick.
Hell, the. cowgirls just sent a number one pick to Oakland for Amari Cooper so it will take at least a first round pick for Peterson.

This is the kind of aggressive move they should make, but we know damn well they will not even try.
 
Certainly not the Steeler way. However, he would make our defense better instantly.
We could play A LOT more man-2-man.
 
Funny, I can't get into his contract details on the two major sites. Essentially though he averages 14 million per year. so you are rescinding Bells contract, deleting a lot of next years cap space and giving up probably a 1st or more. I'll pass. I don't think this team is that close.

Wouldn't think twice and give the #1 in a heartbeat. Obviously try to get him for less but I'd know my max value also.

No way would az trade Peterson
 
One of the sites reports Peterson has a team friendly contract and would count about 6--7 milly this year, we have the cap space, thanks to Me Veon Bell
 
You know if he goes anywhere, it'll be to the pats. AZ will probably only want a 4th rd pick from them.
 
Pux is right, imo. They won't do it, so they're retarded, but it would be good.

Add in Bell and we are dangerous

I think, if the D could up their game to average or just over, it would be good enough to win games. Peterson back there with Haden would be a big step to getting to average/over.

Yeah I hear you but come on you know how the Steelers operate. They never trade their first round picks and I don’t expect them to start now.

Peterson does want out according to reports, but Arizona not budging. This is one to still keep a eye on.
 
I would give up a first, why not? Bell wont be here next year and we are going to have to draft a corner anyways. Peterson would just be a more expensive (but guaranteed first round pick). Moving forward we would need an ILB (if thomas isnt the answer). We could try Edmunds at ILB and draft a safety or just try to draft an ILB. I think Peterson would instantly improve the D maybe even more so than acquiring Hayden did.

I wouldn't blink about giving up a first. To address the biggest weakness? damn right I would

Unfortunately the Steelers are stuck in their routine way of doing things.
 
Give them a 1st and Justin Hunter
 
I’d give them a 1st and 4th the following season for him. We need help at CB, just need to go for it while we still have Ben.
