Pathetic!

We could stand to mix up the backfield.

We hadn't trailed all season, and I think the plan was to play with a lead. When that went out the window our passing game didn't live up to billing. That meant more possessions for the Bears, and more opportunities to run the ball.

WTF happened with Martavis. Why was he running straight at defenders all day?

That's Coach Tomlin's fault...apparently he put blinders on Marty...

Tactically and strategically the physics are the same. But situationally, you can kill the run by getting a lead. The teams you're talking about murdered the clock with the running game. Get the lead, hold it, force them to pass.

But man on a man, the 3-4 is a light defense. If you've got strong interior linemen, you can run right at it. And at the end of today's game we had our safeties WAY too far down field, which I still don't understand.

Oh bullshit. Those defenses under Lebeau were solid. If you have the right people, the 3-4 is as effective against the run as any other damn defensive alignment.

This Steelers defense is a bunch of Tampa 2 guys trying to run a 3-4. I will agree that THIS 3-4 defense is light and you can run right at it. It was evidenced on the TV yesterday.

I agree to a certain extent...

Missing Tuitt and Watt up front hurts - that's a fact. I would venture to say that the loss of Davis also impacted the running game since Wilcox hasn't been here long enough to gel w/ Mitchell - but, those seem to be excuses about coaching so it is what it is...

Riiiight - still mad about not having a losing season??? Man, be for real - ONLY ONE FREAKING TEAM HAS GONE UNDEFEATED IN THE NFL SINCE 1972. ONE. GET OVER YOUR HIGH EXPECTATIONS OF PERFECTION.

5-13 on the road against teams with losing records. I would settle for failing at 8-8, that would be a marked improvement. I have no expectations of perfection, but I would expect that at least 50% of the time we can beat a team we are supposed to beat.

I think he and many are upset because:

Tomlin just had his 15th loss since 2009 to teams with a combined .219 Winning Percentage and the coaching / strategy was very bad several of these games

I get it Coach. Really I do - but let's be realistic - the NFL has change into a much different NFL that most of us grew up watching.

Gone are the days of smash mouth football because the league wants points and scoring. Points and scoring equate to passing the football. Now, while we got beat, handily, on the ground yesterday, the Bears exploited the facts of our missing personnel and ran the ball w/ authority. Ben continued to chuck deep balls and got very few results...

My take - spread the "blame" around and simply take the loss and move on. This, by no means, was one man's loss...

The second Eli fumbled the ball I was like OMG this is I e of those games. But I knew we were going to lose when Haley kept making stupid calls on third and short going long down field. Can you imagine what bellichick would do with brown bell Bryant and Rodgers? It would be sick. I already realize we are going to underacheive. I sadly think it's going to be a long long time before we will. Another SB....Ben doesn't have that killer drive anymore. I don't really think he cares to ever be a student of the game. Just don't. Bell doesn't look the same and most of all Haley just isn't a very good situational coordinator. It amazes me some of the calls he makes. He passes when it says scream run. He runs when it says scream pass. He does bubble screens when. It says stretch the field and he stretches the field when he should use short slants and underneath routes. He's just not that good. So many people think because he's the OC of a championship football team that's he's super smart and gifted at what he does. No....the world is abound with mediocrity. Elite is elite and he is not in that group. Neither is Tomlin. I wish it wasn't the case but it is. That loss yesterday along with the protest and I'm officially disinterested already. **** the. .....why should I waste my time on a bullshit effort and ******* bullshit protests? Why do these players think I give a flying ******* rats *** about their voices? .ost if you are dumb as ******* rocks and lack a complete education. Funny thing is these players think we care what they have to say. **** you we don't! Injustice? Dude you make millions.....shut the **** up and be grateful that a dumb *** like you are in a country where people what to see u play a game. Be grateful and shut the **** up! **** these players and **** the ******* underacheive g ******* Steelers. **** you bell and your ******* arrogance. You dumb *** you should have signed the ******* deal! **** all of you. Ok it's out of my system now.

boom

Just a bad game my ***. We snuck by the Browns, did ok against the Vikes and lose to a bad Bears team. The offense has looked like **** every game so far. The defense kept us in the first two, but then they laid an egg yesterday. Ben looks like he just doesn't care. Chucking the ball deep every other play is not a blueprint for success. The run blocking has been dreadful. This is a very poorly prepared team.

The team was not focused and have not been in two of three games. Head coach has no control of team that was more concerned with pregame than game. Tomlin changes nothing during games. Reality is reality and yesterday was another exclamation mark under Tomlin.

Great post but soon Bermuda will be by to tell you how great Tomlin is. Imagine a good head copach with this roster all these years instead of Caption Cool and Incompetent.
