Pathetic!

that pattern has shown itself once again

calling people names won't hide the fact

Seems like it's becoming a regular around here. I wonder who've gotten participation awards all their sports life???

Salute the nation

Is anyone even mildly surprised?

You shouldn't be.

We do this EVERY year. We lose to someone we should beat, play down to the opponent, then smash it out in the end to make the playoffs. Rinse and repeat. We might as well get used to it. We are a trap game team.

When the division is on the line, we win. I almost feel sorry for those Hun ******** in Baltimore. I really do...

Yet ol Big Al had his *** outside the tunnel, he knew that the flag stands for something and shouldn't be disrespected.

lol a trap game, more like consistent coaching fails

Shame to waste the incredible hustle by Macdonald and Berry on the blocked punt. They kept running when the guy had a 10 yard lead on them
at the 15 yard line.

If this becomes a trend
Uh... Welcome to Steeler fan-dom. This actually IS a trend.

And that's why we're so frustrated because they DO do it every year. And we know EXACTLY how this year will end up again. Wildcard Playoff run. Lose on the Road. Why? Because the coaching staff just couldn't QUITE express to the team that maybe they should take the Bears and the Browns seriously on the road.

So ya. It's ******* frustrating. Every time it happens AGAIN.

thank you!

One thing has nothing to do with the other.

Bad losses happen. This is the NFL. The Bears get paid too. The weakness of the 3-4 alignment/personnel is, and HAS ALWAYS BEEN, that you can run straight at it.

Football > Politics

I disagree. There are several 3-4 Steelers teams that you just couldn't run on. That 3-4 stifled some of the best in the game with regularity. This team just doesn't have the personnel.

Today was one of the most disappointing frustrating days I have spent in a long time. With the news that the Steelers would not come on the field during the anthem was 1st step of many for a bad day. The team is as your coach not very good, honestly we should be 1-2 . Does anyone see an upside anywhere, the offense is not god with all this supposedly fire power and we jumped on the defense band wagon a bit immaturely. Now you add Tomlin desire to throw in all the politics BS when he has a hard enough time coaching, as we continue to show the same playing from start to finish in a game. Just a bad day. The only bright spot was Villanueva proved me wrong and he stood up for this country. I was more disappointed in him when I heard the Steelers would hide behind the bleachers, than many of the clueless others.

Tactically and strategically the physics are the same. But situationally, you can kill the run by getting a lead. The teams you're talking about murdered the clock with the running game. Get the lead, hold it, force them to pass.

But man on a man, the 3-4 is a light defense. If you've got strong interior linemen, you can run right at it. And at the end of today's game we had our safeties WAY too far down field, which I still don't understand.

hence for my post. This team is capable of smacking teams around, but we almost lost to CLE and now basically got embarrassed in CHI. Disappointing and frustrating sums up today.

It took them to overtime to beat us.

That's not us being embarrassed. That's us getting their best possible game.

hahahahahahahaha

if you don't think that game was embarrassing you have issues

Huh? Steelers always had a dominant run defense under LeBeau.

We had guys in position quite often to make tackles, but they over pursued so bad, or looked for a big hit when they could just make a simple tackle

So if the coaches job is to put them in position and they are in position and dont make the play its still the coaches fault?

I'm not putting the blame squarely on Tomlins shoulders. He's getting alot off blame because the team comes out flat and lifeless in games like this all the time.
Bell had a ball go right through his hands that was close to being picked and we had to settle for a tying FG, if he catches that he may score, he definitely gets the first, I don't put any blame on Tomlin for that play
