With the assumption that Ben coming back for 2018, I think most would agree that Saftey and a three-down Inside Linebacker are need areas for the 2018 draft, I think we could also do better at the following positions.

NT - Hargrave hasn't done much this season and isn't good run defending NT. I have not looked at any NT prospects to date, but according to Walter Football, a decent draft site, there is some talent here. Men who can not only clog the middle and make tackles but also pressure the Qb and make plays. If the right player is there, I would not be too upset with an NT selected in round one or two provided he can add to the nickel defense and stay on the field as a pass rusher.

P - Berry has been underwhelming and his legs tends to regress a bit in the winter months. The punter position is easy to scout, and I would not be opposed to spending a 6th or 7th round pick to upgrade here.

TE - James is a solid back up, who plays a lot. McDonald has impressed me. He's a strong blocker with good speed, but he can't seem to stay healthy. This is a weak TE class. I have watched some of the top players. The top talent is neither tall nor fast, and none of them, seem to be either powerhouse type of blockers or dangerous receivers. I do not want to spend a 1st or 2nd round pick on a reach.

I wouldn't mind another RB in mid rounds

other than what?

Have they already picked in the 1st?

If I missed the first 75,000 mock drafts then I consider myself lucky

Spike, you're a LUCKY man. To celebrate that fact you will be given the opportunity to buy all of us the first round of hot dogs at the 4th day of training camp at St.Vincent college. Thank You

ILB, S, OLB, ILB, TE, RB, CB

Ben will be back. We got our low round QB last year in Dobbs.

Dobbs looked pretty bad in the pre-season games. He was the lowest rated passer...and that's saying something.

I agree Ben will be back for 2018.

I see our free agency and draft needs as follows

1A ) Safety. Either in free agency by cutting Mitchel ( and saving 5 million ) or in the draft.

1B ) A three down ILB. Spence is a journeyman, Dirty Red too small and slow.

3 ) NT.DT A push the pocket type vs the pass who can defend the run. Our offense puts so much pressure on other teams, it limits the run calls, but I saw some huge holes this season when the other teams ran it.

4 ) Back up RB. I'd sign and trade Bell to Cleveland for the 4th overall pick to pick Barkley on draft day provided he's still there, saving 12 million on the cap ( Minus what takes to sign Barkley on a rookie deal ) and use the money for S or ILB in free agency :) Rb's don't last. IMO, Barely is a stud. Fast, big, explosive, and with our OL, would be a star.

OT ) Hubbard is as good as gone in free agency. Hawkins did not excite much...

5 ) TE. The TE class sucks, which is why I rate it #6 in needs. If there was a top level talent, I'd move this

6 ) KR / Speed WR. If we lose Bryant, move this need up.

7 ) OLB. What's up with Bud? We have him for another year, but is he the future?

7 ) P. Berry is a bottom of the barrel type. An easy upgrade for a 6th or 7th round pick.

Whats with all the draft talk??

antdrewjosh, get out of bed earlier as you slept the whole playoff and Super Bowl through........ YES we have #7 and now through the draft
are working on #8...................................now yo're up to speed, carry on

Please tell me you taped the game

Again, why would we draft a NT when we use 2 DL quite often. They have totally gone away from the big NT I had been screaming for since Big Snack left. It ain't happening with Butler and Tomlin at the helm. Not having a big guy in the middle to command a double team and only using 2 DL so often is a huge part of why we suck against the run now.

Coach unfortunately I think we’ve got to be thinking ILB in the first, then Safety or Corner in the 2nd. Third maybe DL or TE.

I'm cool with ILB and S in rounds 1&2, however why corner?

Haden, Burns, and Hilton was solid, and Sutton looks like a good 3rd round pick. IMO a high pick on corner would not be wise this year.

As we stand here being judged on wins and losses, I concur as to ILB or S rounds 1 & 2 pending who is available of course.

Why in God's name would you want to trade Bell within the division?

1 ) Its the Clowns. Hardly a rival.

2 ) I'll take Barkley and 12 million in cap space

3 ) How many good years does Bell have left?

So it comes down to this, Barkley and ANY one in free agency, or two very good players a 5 Million each, or Bell.

I think corner since we don’t know how much quality time we have with Joe Haden. I know he’s signed for 2018 but he’s been playing a while now and it may be smart to draft his replacement. Unless as you say the team thinks maybe Sutton is that player.

I think he is signed through 2020 as he signed an extension. Unless I'm not remembering correctly from what Cope told us. We don't need a corner this year, maybe next year.
Coach is right, not sure how many years Bell has left due to his previous injuries and the unbelievable amount of touches are catching up on wear and tear. His wheels are about
to fall off and we should rather trade now while there is value but only if correct terms are reached.

Allright, comeon guys......we have a slot open

The free safety, is the last line of defense on the football field. He's more of a pass-minded defender, and his job is to sit back, survey, and attack where needed.

However, with the sophistication of some offenses, he will inevitably be required to "fill" on running plays, as he's often the only one unblocked.

We have a hole, plain and simple at FS. Here is an example of why

A safety is scored in a few different types of scenarios when it comes to American football. The primary job for safety, being on defense, is to keep the offense from scoring at all costs. The team works together as a whole to tackle offense members, intercept the ball, and make sure the offense doesn't move the ball close enough to their goal so that a scoring opportunity isn't easily available.

Safeties can have a huge impact on the result of games despite having a point less on the scorecard. This is due to their position on the field. It's not a common way to score in football, but it happens about once a week during every football season.

Yeah...yeah except our Free Safety shows up after the ball has been caught...consistently.

We need help back there and I can't believe I am the only one that sees it.

Asinine.

Bell has PROVED he can run in the NFL behind our OL. What has Barkley proved in the NFL???

That's it!!!

we are talking about OTHER draft needs, even my 10 y/o daughter knows we need a FS, urgently

Well in Madden this might happen...then again I don't think even in Madden this could happen. How do you think up these scenarios? Seriously.....I have a better chance of hitting the Mega Million jack pot tonight then this ever happening.
