Tape won't respond to facts...

Ohio St. is 50th

What do the numbers mean (how are they derived)? If they use subjective data, they too are a matter of opinion.

What was Ohio States rank one year ago?

Alabama is the school to beat in the south as far as recruiting. Every football player in the region wants to play for Bama. Not gonna say the rest of the SEC doesnt get top notch recruits but Alabama does get the best of best and its noticeable cause they always contend. I agree with you on that

Don't care much about recruiting but one of Bama's 2 DT's sure would look good in Black and Gold. My #1 as of today.

Michigan State seems like a team of destiny. I will say the kicker's celebration to me was fine, because he was good at it!

I respect Meyer as a great coach, but you just can't be undefeated without good QB play. The two QB's bought into the hype. Neither is as good as he thinks he is, and the playbook is limited with both of them.

The other argument is the talent at the skill positions just isn't that good.

I heard MSU's kicker dropped the F bomb during his live post game radio interview. He said "I F***ing Drilled it."

While I won't deny that seeing Ohio State lose was joyous for me...this has more to do with my hatred for Urban Meyer than anything else...I will readily admit that I thought they would eventually fall. They are, by most measures, the most talented team in the B1G, but they have fallen to Urban's management style. This year's Ohio State team look eerily similar to Florida's 2009 team. Supremely talented, defending champion, most players returning, lost the Offensive Coordinator...

The Gators in 2009 struggled all season with offensive production...then met Alabama in the SECCG and got beaten.

Meyer tightens-up defending championships...happened in 2007, happened again in 2009, now has happened in 2015. He may still take Ohio State to another championship, but if his pattern holds true, he'll be out of Columbus in three years.

...and I want Jake McGee out of Florida (TE)...he's a Heath Miller clone, even wears #83. Watch his highlights and you're blown away by the kid. He'll go 3rd or 4th round.

like the fact that Iowa beat AP #17 Northwestern and Alabama's best win is #23 Miss State. Northwestern dominated and beat #9 Stanford.

I get it, you SEC drones are used to just trotting out the strength of schedule arguments and back it up by pointing to all the games vs ranked teams but this year you can't do it.

Fact - If Iowa does go unbeaten, they will have better wins than Alabama. Northwestern > Miss State and MSU/OSU/Michigan > Florida. And of course, the SEC team will have a loss almost completely ignored in the equation.

You guys should relax. Alabama just has to beat ****** Auburn and a mediocre Florida and they are all set. It looks like they are even going to give the Heisman to Henry for no reason other than he plays in the SEC.

No Bama/SEC fan should be talking **** when they just played what amounts to a community college at the end of your season. Whichever Big Ten team goes will deserve it as much or more than Alabama, they have a loss to an inferior team themselves. The Conference **** from past years doesn't mean anything. Save history for the classroom. Iowa got lucky with their schedule this year, but they will have to beat a team that was ranked at one time in the top five if they make it to the league title game. If they win that they earned the shot as much as anybody else.

I'm no Conference loyalist, I call it like I see it. I'm a WVU guy first and foremost and I know our conference is relatively weak in spite of the pinball scores put up on Saturday's by the offenses.

Yeah, just like Winston and Mariotta... Your act is tired.

What a pile of BS. Iowa hasn't played a damn team yet. Northwestern? Somehow #17 Northwestern is great but #10 Florida is horrible? The same Northwestern that hasn't played anyone? The same one that got beat 38-0 by Michigan? Your SEC hate has no bounds.

FACT is that Iowa hasn't played anyone. They haven't even played good over rated teams in the big 10. No Michigan, Michigan St. and no OSU. So bitching about Bama's schedule is ******* laughable. OSU has played ONE team and got beat at home by a 13 point underdog. But I'm sure you'd put them above a horrible Bama team that hammered Wisconsin and has beaten ranked teams like Ole Miss, Ms. St., and LSU.

Don't worry though all OSU has to do is beat a ****** Michigan team (one more loss than Florida and has played nobody) and hope that Michigan St. falls against the powerhouse of Penn St. and they'll be good to go.

So playing a community college in the first half of the year is fine but playing them at the end is ****? WTF are you talking about? Iowa has played nobody all year. OSU hasn't played a ranked team until last week. WTF are you talking about?

Michigan has played "nobody"? What about Utah?

I respect Meyer as a great coach, but you just can't be undefeated without good QB play. The two QB's bought into the hype. Neither is as good as he thinks he is, and the playbook is limited with both of them.

The hype for Jones was ridiculous. All of the talk of how high he would go in the draft and even some wanting him as the heir apparent to Roethlisberger. Isn't even mentioned as one of the best QBs this year by the draft guys.

Michigan has played "nobody"? What about Utah?

Utah? A 3 loss team that is ranked 26th in the polls? Tape said Florida was terrible. And they've only lost one game. How can Utah be better than Florida? LSU has lost 3 games but Tape thinks they suck. They lost to Bama (at Bama), Ole Miss (at Ole Miss) and Arkansas. One bad loss was to Arkansas. But Utah is good? They lost to USC, a bad Arizona team (3 of their 6 wins are against UTSA, Nevada, N. Arizona), and UCLA.

I don't get it. Why are SEC teams bad when they lose but Utah is great when they lose? Why is OSU great when they haven't played a ranked team all year and then lose to a 13 point underdog playing their 2nd and 3rd string QB at home? But Bama is bad for losing to a ranked Ole Miss early in the year? Why is Iowa great when they have played nobody (even in their own conference)? IF an SEC team played Iowa's schedule Tape would be arguing that they don't deserve to be in the top 4.

My argument is that early season tune up games are just that. If you don't understand the difference between that in the first couple weeks and the end of the season that's your issue, not mine. Timing is everything. Had MSU lost to Nebraska last week their season is over. Now if they win out they're in. Early season losses have always been better than end of season losses when it comes to the rankings. It's not a new phenomenon.

I don't think the SEC is all that good this year. Doesn't make other conferences better. I think the Power 5 are all kinda down this year. Could also be that there is parity this year as well.
