Open Discussion on Kaperdick workout.

If he was serious about getting back into the league he would shut his mouth and went to the workout that the league set up for him where 20+ were going to attend. Instead he changed venues at the last minute and gives a political speech. Now he will cry wolf when no one signs him. Him and AB should go start their own league.

Like i said he's a ******* fraud. What a complete tool. Cute shirt. Homeboy was adopted by well to do white parents and had a nice privileged upbringing. Just an attention ***** who has no reason to be bitter about **** in life.

I hear ya Hoot, but don't get the uproar over a silent, peaceful act, such as taking a knee during the National Anthem. I think the backlash has been way over the top. He wasn't shouting, screaming into a megaphone, etc. Just quietly taking a knee in solemn protest. I think as an American, he has the right to do that, even if it's 'on the job' as you describe it.

I have a right to fart in an elevator. Does not make it a good idea or something that should bring about a reward.

You seem to forget that Das Kap lost his QB job to Blaine Gabbert in 2015, four years ago.

He was not as good as Blaine ******* Gabbert four years ago. Anybody who thinks he is now some prized QB is sniffing glue and eating boogers, or sniffing boogers and eating glue.

So he works for Nike, I guess he doesnt have any problem with slave labor as long as he gets paid

That's Lebron and the NBA's position too. Many of these SJWs don't have core beliefs. They just repeat things they've seen others get accolades for saying. Activism became trendy a few years ago so now you see tons of people virtue signaling on social media to build their own brand but it ends quick if it will hurt their money.

Lebron told us all that we just didn;t understand how much money was at stake when criticizing China so we should all shut up.

Exactly... im fine with paying more for items if it means cutting off the countries that exploit workers like china and, to a lesser extent, Mexico....
Ultimately it is a better way to redistribute wealth here because most of the time when you cut out the extremely low end wage countries, it becomes cheaper to just make the stuff here, and the more jobs the more the demand for workers drives up wages...... but yeah lets play corporate enablers when it comes to china but whine about human rights issues here and in Russia...

JAY-Z is reportedly “disappointed” with Colin Kaepernick over his decision to skip a NFL tryout in Atlanta on Saturday.

Kaepernick scrapped plans to participate in the officially sanctioned event, following a disagreement with the league over a liability waiver and media availability. Instead, the quarterback held his own workout at a nearby high school without the league’s involvement. Though Kaepernick’s event was open to the public and the media, representatives of only eight NFL teams ended up attending, according to ESPN.
JAY-Z, who pushed the NFL into giving Kaepernick the tryout, is said to be “disappointed” with the quarterback’s actions. TMZ reports that sources close to JAY-Z felt Kaepernick “turned a legitimate workout into a publicity stunt.”

I bet a lot of his supporters are secretly pissed. They've been supporting this guy through everything and repeating the lie that Kap "just wants a chance". He'll do anything to play. He loves the game.

Then Kap has the league go out of their way in an unprecedented move to cater to this guy and he blows it up. Basically, Kap just proved all his skeptics were absolutely right. This guy is a diva. He is a pain in the *** not worth the effort to sign.

What's funny is Florio is on TV saying how the league also looks bad in the situation. He doesn't explain how of course. They just are.

Maybe because they look like idiots bending over for this clown.

It's because all of the Twitter NFL writers want Kapernick back in the league more than he wants back in it and they fail to recognize any reasons why teams do not want to sign him.

He doesn't really care. If Kaep were kneeling because of the Obama administration giving gun runners in Mexico guns so they could kill border patrol agents, Tibs would hate him and side with the NFL.
Just putting this out there, this is where I differ. He could be kneeling because he thinks uncooked kosher sausages should have voting rights. I would disagree with his stand, but still fully support his right to express his stand. Period.

I wouldn't care what his stand was, you don't disrespect the flag because you have an issue with something. The NFL has rules about everything and they've let this moron do about whatever he wants. He can express his stand on his own time.

It is a matter of disrespect lost on apparently a significant amount of people. People should look at it as outside of their house their property is America's house at the stadium? NFL's house. Say a person who is down with someone disrespecting the flag for personal agenda threw a party. Invited me and some others to a family outing. Unknown to the host is that I joined a nudist colony. So I show up to his shindig with my dick teeter tottering from left to right. Is that ok to disrespect his house? I am sure I would be thrown out on my *** with my dick in the dirt. So you don't disrespect the NFL's house. As they are there to entertain and make money while doing it. For those of you who think it is ok to be disrespectful in America's house...the NFL's house.... let me know when it is a good time to arrive. My dick says hi.

On social media, as best I can tell, it boils down to these steps:

1. Black person believes the only reason Kaepernick isn't playing is because of racism.
2. Black person says the Steelers need Kaepernick. This happens about five times an hour in the Steelers fan FB groups.
3. White person points out that Kap wasn't very good in his last two seasons, was a backup, and hasn't played in three years, without mentioning kneeling at all.
4. Black person either a) calls you a racist for not wanting the Steelers to sign the greatest QB in history or b) leaves happy because you've validated their belief that all white people hate all black people.
5. White person points out that this discussion is irrelevant because the Steelers were never interested in Kap and did not send anyone to his workout and that maybe the Dolphins or Bengals are in more need of a QB than we are.
6. Black person points out again that all you white people are racist and the Steelers should never have traded Josh Dobbs.

That's pretty much how it goes.

Lost his starting job and lost his teammates. The guys in his locker didn't like him either and would not play hard for him.

Fine enough, but freedom of speech does not extend to the workplace. The sideline before the game is your workplace.
Most people who think Kap is awesome are too young to remember Marge Schott and Jimmy The Greek but if you think Kap can express his beliefs in the workplace then Marge and Jimmy shouldn't have lost their jobs either.

he has he RIGHT to express his opinions in any way he likes, just as we all do. He just has to be ready to deal with whatever comes from that. Fans don't have to like what he did and can express their dislike to his bosses, the team he plays for. His bosses can then choose to keep him or let him go, well I think he actually decided he could make more money and opted out of his contract. He was wrong.

Playing in the NFL is not a RIGHT. He has to make himself worth the trouble to sign. His antics this weekend show he is more interested in people talking about how he should be in the league than actually playing football again.

Regardless of his stance. The guy was just not good.
He kneeled to stay in the nfl news. He knew his performance was declining and wanted to stay relevant.

If the Steelers felt he’d be a serviceable backup, so be it.
I’d still tune in. I don’t mingle politics and sports. I disagree with Kap’s stance, but if he donned the B&G that would be my only means of rooting for him.

At the end of the day, only God can judge. That’s my belief anywho.

You would put up with him kneeling for the anthem at games MTC? You know, there would be 1000 cameras on him the first game, lined up waiting for him to do it, which is exactly what he want's. Can't imagine why any team would want that distraction again.

I would not watch and give him what he want's if any team signed him.

Hell, even Stephen A. was behind Kap being back in the league. After what he did, Stephen A. said Kap doesn't want to be back in the league. He screwed up big time if he did actually want to play again. This entire situation is 100% on his shoulders. No one should have had to pay him for him not playing.

He can do what he wants to (unless his boss says to stop while at work), and I can react to it how I want to. I find him immature, self-centered, not accepting of consequences of his actions, unwilling to consider other points of view, closed-minded, disrespectful, opportunistic, phony, and a lousy QB. Other than that, he is a turd head who can't think for himself.

Based on that, I don't want him on my team. Sounds simple to me.

He took an opportunity and turned it into a commercial video shoot. Guy is 1-10 in his last 11 starts and hasn't played in a few years. He isn't serious about playing.
