Hey lets not forget ,, many also support the right of an employer not to hire a bonafide P.O.S. No matter his ability.
I'll be clear - I think Colin deserves a shot, if he can complete the requirements.
There are many more 'wackos' that are US citizens who some of us have chosen to defend their rights regardless - he's just another number.
Far too long have we, as a people, taken offense to an individuals short-comings and never give that person a second chance to show the 'other side of the leaf'. I get it - it makes some uncomfortable; our athletes need to use the right platform to voice their opinions - the question is, "who's listening"?

Well, some team may end up with a social justice clipboard warrior
If the Steelers signed him, would you be OK with that? I say that with Mason one headshot away from missing some games and you have Duck and Lynch behind him. Like Vick, I'm sure a lot of fans would cry, whine, burn jerseys and forego their fandom of the B&G. If he would help them win, be a security blanket, you wouldn't hear a peep out of me. They have a chance to be 8-4 after the next three games and the PO is in striking distance. It would be interesting if he got a chance and in Pittsburgh. Could he really be an asset? That remains to be seen, but we'll see with his workout.
He was regressing as a QB...
If someone signs him and doesn't put a clause in the contract regarding his activism on company time and the NFL approves it, then that is on them.
What is sad about the entire situation is there is a chance to do some real good in the world if all parties would decide to work together on it rather than squabble over it.
As long as working together doesn't involve disrespecting the flag, none of it would bother me. Plenty of ways to have your voice heard in this country..........

The league said 11 teams have committed to attend: the*Arizona Cardinals,*Atlanta Falcons,*Cleveland Browns,*Denver Broncos,*Detroit Lions,*Miami Dolphins,*New England Patriots,*New York Giants,*New York Jets,*Tampa Bay Buccaneers*and*Washington Redskins.I have a real feeling the Steelers will be there.
I’d say the workout is either something that was in his settlement or it’s just the NFL trying to defend from another lawsuit.
The workout is stupid. He will probably look great in shorts, running and throwing against air. He’s fast and has a good arm. That’s not his issue. His issue is that he doesn’t read defenses, didn’t put in the work to learn a playbook, and will still be a distraction.
a part of me hopes he gets signed and actually starts a game and reminds everybody that he was benched because he sucks.
i’m sick of hearing this stupid talking point that he is clearly one of the best 64 QBs available therefore him not having a job is proof of whatever..
The fact is that backup QB are often not necessarily the most talented player available. It’s a question of money, potential, and ability to play without practice reps. Most teams want a smart backup who can absorb the playbook and step in without practice reps. Or they want a developmental prospect. Kap fits neither category. He has shown in the past that he does not pick up offense quickly. He’s pretty much limited to a read option playbook. He’s also not a developmental prospect at his age and the fact that most teams figure he’s already reached his peak.
Maybe a team wanting to incorporate some option will sign him but I can’t see anybody signing him to be a true backup as a pocket passer.

This is spot on. Kap sucked which is why he was benched. He didn't want to be a backup and then wanted starting money to be a backup. Most teams will overlook a moron as long as he can start. But why take the chance for a backup and a guy that hasn't played in 3 years. Makes no sense.
